The Wither King is a minor character in the series, first serving as the anti-heroic "tritagonist" of Cave Spider Roller Coaster - AVM Shorts Episode 14 before returning as one of the main villains of You Shall Not Pass - An Actual Short. Originally a random Wither looking to fight, he befriended the Cave Spider Queen that he tried to kill and joined her in trying to defeat the Stick Gang.

Cave Spider Roller Coaster - AVM Shorts Episode 14[]
At the end of the episode when The Second Coming is about to be attacked by the Cave Spider Queen, after the Fighting Stick Figures were webbed out, a Wither busts out from the Nether Portal behind them and starts attacking the queen while the stick figures escape.
Off-screen, the two mobs befriended each other, with the Cave Spider Queen combining her Cave Spider Colony with a Wither Skeleton army, the Wither gaining a crown and becoming the Wither King.
You Shall Not Pass - An Actual Short[]
The Wither King and Cave Spider Queen come onto a bridge with the Cave Spider and Wither Skeleton Colony, trying to catch up to and kill the Stick Gang. Yellow steps up and manages to get the web from the queen to stick to the Withers right head, then breaks the bridge, making the duo fall down, leaving the colony at the entrance and the Stick Gang at the exit.
The Wither King is not seen again, though the fact he can fly along with his high HP likely means he survived.
Trivia[]
- The yet-to-be Wither King rescuing the Stick Gang from the Spider Queen was, according to Alan Becker, meant to be a reference to one of the Jurassic World films (likely the 2015 Jurassic World, where the T. rex saves the heroes from the Indominus rex, or the 1993 Jurassic Park where the T. rex jumps in to kill the Velociraptors).
- Additionally, his motive is simply looking for a fight.
- It is unknown who made the Wither King.
- The queen-and-king dynamic, the fact they share one army and them working together all might imply the Cave Spider Queen and Wither King's relationship goes beyond simply friends.
- He is the first wither to be seen on the Animator vs. Animation Franchise.
