History[]
Early life[]

Animation vs. Minecraft Shorts Season 3[]
The Warden[]
He is first seen when The Second Coming furiously destroys a Sculk Sensor, accidentally alerting a Warden. The Warden chases The Second Coming to the Ancient City where The Second Coming manages to hide for some time. While trying to escape, The Second Coming is ambushed by the Warden (who was hiding within a mass of Sculk), and is chased further into the ruins of the city.
While running, The Second Coming finds a building to hide from the Warden, and realizes the Warden's ability to sense vibrational frequencies emitted from motion and sounds, but its inability to see. Discovering a chest, The Second Coming attempts to reach it, however is found by the Warden, via its vibrational detection. The Warden quickly finds The Second Coming inside the room, and chases him once more. The Second Coming uses a candle to lure the Warden away, and is able to loot the chest of its materials. The Warden, however, detects this, and chases The Second Coming once more.
When the Warden closes in on The Second Coming once more, The Second Coming distracts the Warden again, this time with an Enchanted Golden Apple, which managed to distract the Warden for a few moments. The Second Coming began running away again as the Warden could hear vibrations from the candle, The Second Coming slides into a narrow tunnel to get out of the reach of the Warden. The Warden, however, manages to destroy the tunnel after some time. The Second Coming goes further inside the tunnel, however finds himself trapped. After attempting to break through the tunnel to escape, The Second Coming reads the book he took from the chest back in the city. Finding out that the book contains sheet music for a song, The Second Coming creates a makeshift flute with a candle and a stick. The Second Coming plays the music, which incapacitates the Warden. The Warden, remembering its time when the Ancient City was inhabited by Villagers, as well as the Warden itself. It thanks The Second Coming for playing the song, and befriends him. The Warden then helps The Second Coming with escaping the Deep Dark, and agrees to aid him in the fight against King Orange.
As the Warden and The Second Coming emerge from the Nether Portal, the fight begins with The Second Coming and the Warden gaining the upper hand by throwing King Orange into the bastion, and proceeding to violently blast him to an upper deck of it. King Orange then finds a Gold block, and harnesses its power into his staff, which manages to deal some damage into the Warden. Fortunately with a flurry of quick attacks, the Warden manages to grab the staff, and throw it into a wall away from King Orange. The Second Coming then commands the Warden into smacking King Orange all the way into a Nether Waste Valley, where Alan Becker's Minecraft Game Icon is. The Second Coming then retrieves the staff and hops back onto the Warden, and it leaps across the left tower to the right one, only to find King Orange in Creative Mode floating above them.
Monster School[]
Continuing from the last episode, King Orange charges at the Warden, and with his new powers, he traps it and The Second Coming in Netherite blocks after taking his staff back. As King Orange floats up and prepares to replace the Gold block with the Minecraft Game Icon, the staff, and the Gold block are taken by Red and his new friends from the Monster School. The fight resumes, and The Second Coming and the Warden are freed, when Endie teleports them out. Thankful for being freed, the Warden holds its hand up for a high five, which Endie reciprocates. The two mobs and The Second Coming punch King Orange into a Netherite wall, but he traps Endie and the Warden in obsidian. Once again, Endie teleports himself and the Warden out and in front of King Orange, who was about to hurt The Second Coming and Red. King Orange throws Red face first into the Netherite wall, where he gets the idea to replace the staff's Gold block for a Netherite one. Proving to be much more powerful, Red takes a good swing at King Orange, and he is sent flying out into the distance. The Warden nodded, thinking the battle was over. However, King Orange returns quickly, this time with alexcrafter28's Minecraft Game Icon, too.
The Raid[]
Preparing for the fight, King Orange uses Alexcrafter28's Minecraft to create large Netherite weapons, and he uses Alan Becker's Minecraft Game Icon to create Dark Mob versions of The Warden and Red's friends. The Warden and The Second Coming face off against its Dark Mob counterpart, but it gets obliterated by Red's new Netherite staff. King Orange spawns in more Dark Mobs, and he uses a giant Netherite Axe to block the Warden and The Second Coming from reaching their friends. The staff is then reclaimed by King Orange, and all hope appears to be lost for the crew, when suddenly, the medium-sized Titan Ravager that's being rode by Blue and Yellow emerge from one of the portals inside the castle. Everyone is thrust back, and Red catches the staff again. King Orange once again, spawns more Dark Mobs after the last ones were shot down by Blue, and crushed by the Titan Ravager. The Warden, The Second Coming, Red, and his friends face off against the Dark Mobs, and they soon join Blue, Yellow, and the Titan Ravager in stopping King Orange. As more and more Dark Mobs spawn, the Warden easily overpowers all of them. Unfortunately, King Orange takes his staff back, and spawns in a horde of Dark Mobs, which overpower everyone this time. King Orange combines the two Minecraft Game Icons, puts it in his staff, and shoots it up to the Nether roof, creating a vortex.
Note Block Universe[]
While the only thing you can see of the Warden is its tendril, the Warden is still being pushed down by their Dark Mob counterpart. Everyone else, however, witnesses Green and Purple returning to the Nether, with Purple catching King Orange off guard and punching him with a high speed so he falls but allows Purple to possess the staff.
The King[]
In the flashback at the beginning of the episode, a wiki page about the Warden is briefly seen.
In the present day, the newly-redeemed Purple takes King Orange's staff and destroys all but a few of the Dark Mobs, with the Warden finishing off two Dark Wardens that survived the attack. After a quick fight, the Warden manages to pin down King Orange with help from the other heroes. However, Yellow accidentally gives King Orange an opportunity to take his Command Block staff and fight his way towards his original staff and take it from Purple. After a few minutes of fighting, where the heroes are joined by Herobrine himself, King Orange learns he can absorb mobs into the vortex via his staff and begins to slowly finish off all the monsters, one by one. The Warden, moments before being absorbed, throws the Second Coming away and thus saves him from being absorbed.
At the end of the episode, The Second Coming manages to resurrect everyone who perished during the battle, including the Warden. The Second Coming says his goodbyes to it and Red puts his headband on the creature, making it his successor as the fourth member of the Monster School's Yellow Team. After Endie, Skellington and Spider properly introduce themselves, Herobrine accepts the Warden as a new student and teleports both himself and his monsters back to the school.
In the credits, the Warden gets enlisted into Monster School. It can be seen doing a sonic boom attack at a Steve clone.

Note Block Concert[]
The Warden was in the audience watching Green's concert.
Appearance[]
The Warden appears as a regular Minecraft Warden. It temporarily wears a yellow bandana that was previously worn by Red at the end of The King.
Personality & Characteristics[]
Initially, the Warden is an aggressive monster that attacks any intruders it can hear nearby. It chases The Second Coming non-stop when he angered it. As a blind mob, the Warden relies on sensing vibrations in order to track its target. Because of this it can be distracted by items thrown. After a while, it is shown that The Warden is also shown to have a soft side. It was supposed to be the guardian of the Ancient City and used to live happily with the ancient villagers that lived there. When The Second Coming played the song of the ancient villagers, this reminded the Warden of its past and befriends The Second Coming. After it allied with The Second Coming, it seems that the Warden has its flaws fixed as it can now chase its target properly without getting distracted with the guidance of The Second Coming.
Powers & Abilities[]
- Enhanced Speed: The Warden is a fast runner, being able to cover a large amount of ground in only a matter of seconds. During their fight against King Orange, the Warden was shown to have immense speed and agility, easily catching up with King Orange despite being trapped into the wall surfaces multiple times.
- Immense Strength: The Warden has a tremendous amount of strength, and is able to perform superhuman feats, such as leaping from the Deep Dark all the way up to the roof of the cave. The Warden is also considerably strong in battle, being able to overwhelm King Orange even after the latter gains increased strength and durability through harnessing a gold block, and send him flying from one side of the bastion to the other in a single punch.
- Vibration Detector: A notable ability of the Warden allows them to pick up vibrational frequencies. Even though it is blind, the Warden has a sculk sensor-like head that it uses to find its target. The Warden can detect vibrations, even ones that aren't made by the player, so it can be used to distract it by throwing items, which makes it the Warden's fatal flaw.
- Sculk Link: The Warden is able to transmigrate and conceal itself within large patches of Sculk flora, as well as be alerted by the destruction of sculk sensors.
- Block Breaking: Because of the Warden's strength, it is able to break blocks to chase its target even if it's on the other side of a wall. Its strength is enough to break Obsidian.
- Partner Synchronization: Since the Warden is blind, and the fact that it can get distracted, it needs a partner to guide it, like the Second Coming, who rides on the Warden's shoulders to guide it and fight enemies like King Orange. And the Warden can mimic The Second Coming's fight stances by sound, syncing with him.
- Sound Manipulation: Connected to its vibration detection ability. The Warden can pick up sound waves and turn it into a powerful sonic wave. It uses it as its signature ranged attack, dubbed as Sonic Boom. Every Warden that are spawned are capable of doing this since snapshot 22w15a, although the Warden is not seen doing this until The King.
