Wanted is the 9th episode of the Animator vs. Animation Series, also being the 1st episode of Animator vs. Animation Season 3.

Production

• On October 11th, 2022, Alan Becker announced that Wanted would be coming after The King.
• In Spring 2023, Alan made a YouTube story saying that the next video would be an AVA short and that it had been worked on for almost a year.
• On April 23rd, 2023, a teaser video for Wanted was posted on YouTube.

Synopsis

The Chosen One is in trouble.

Plot

Almost five years after The Dark Lord was defeated by the combined efforts of The Chosen One, Noogai and the Stick Gang, the former is shown to be escaping from a group of four mercenaries across the Outernet as they pursue him in advanced, glitch-powered hoverbikes. He attempts to flee from them inside of a city as they shoot glitching blasts at him. The Chosen One boosts up into the air, he then dives between two buildings, all the while trying to dodge their attacks. A blast hits the corner of a skyscraper causing rocks to fall straight toward a stick figure. The Chosen One uses his laser eyes to break the rock in pieces, preventing the stick figure from being hurt. The Chosen One continues to flee from the mercenaries.

Leaving the city, they head into a land with windmills, where Hazard attempts to shoot The Chosen One, only for it to hit a rotor. They move towards a lake and eventually, a waterfall. They go past the waterfall and eventually end up in the area The Showdown takes place. The Chosen One recalls The Second Coming shooting a laser at The Dark Lord. The Chosen One looks up at the sky to see the barrier to ALANSPC to still be open. The Chosen One then stops and shoots fire at the four mercenaries, before Agent goes around him and hits him with a glitch blast. The Chosen One attempts to swim back up, but is hit by Ballista's scooter. The Chosen One begins spinning rapidly, creating a whirlpool, before flying out of the water, creating ice that hits Primal. He then shoots his laser eyes at Agent, before dodging Hazard attempting to ram him with his scooter. The Chosen one then lands on Ballista's scooter, using it to get a boost upwards, with Agent following him. Agent hits The Chosen One with his scooter, but The Chosen One continues upwards, forming storm clouds.

The Chosen One gains electricity powers, and zaps Primal, Ballista, and Hazard's scooters, immobilizing them. Agent, the remaining mercenary shoots The Chosen One, who falls onto Agent's scooter, despite Agent hitting him multiple times. The Chosen One uses his ice powers to form an iceberg, trapping Agent and then using lightning to create an explosion. The Chosen One then flies up towards ALANSPC.

Meanwhile, Alan is on his computer and opens Adobe Animate. Red and Blue appear on screen, challenging each other to a fight only for Green to participate in the fight, and then Yellow and The Second Coming join the fight. Alan observes them fighting and decides to draw a rock to hit The Second Coming with. The Second Coming climbs up a wall on Adobe Animate and reaches the pencil tool, which he slides down with. The Second Coming draws weapons for the Fighting Stick Figures.

After the fight, a portal appears, and The Chosen One emerges from the portal, glitching. He goes towards The Second Coming, attempting to get him to use his powers. The Second Coming seems to not understand what The Chosen One is talking about. The Chosen One tries to teach him how to use his laser powers. Blue stops The Chosen One from trying to teach him.

Failing to teach The Second Coming how to use his powers, The Chosen One takes him to the portal leading into the Outernet, the Fighting Stick Figures jump into the portal after. They leave the computer aflame.

The Chosen One peeks through the broken barrier of ALANSPC, seeing the mercenaries still trying to search for him, The Second Coming looks through the barrier. The Chosen One flies with The Second Coming, while the Fighting Stick Figures are falling, they become noticed by the mercenaries, causing them to chase after The Chosen One. The two land in a forest.

The mercenaries fly down to a field adjacent to the forest, The Chosen One sends The Second Coming. The mercenaries quickly notice The Second Coming and they draw their weapons at him, The Second Coming waves at them. Agent uses his magnifying tool to zoom forwards, they look in another direction and notice The Chosen One hiding in the bushes.

The mercenaries open fire, trying to shoot The Second Coming, The Chosen One saves The Second Coming, something gets stuck on The Chosen One’s arm, causing him to become paralyzed.

The Second Coming grabs the pencil tool while the mercenaries rush towards him. The Second Coming draws lines, the lines become a dragon targeting the mercenaries.

The Fighting Stick Figures land, and see chaos in the distance and they rush towards that direction. The Second Coming continues to draw various creatures to target the mercenaries. Ballista become a turret and shoot at The Second Coming, the latter draws a shark, about to eat Ballista, only for it to barrage the shark with punches and punch it into the air. He also slams a hammerhead shark thrown at them into the ground, as the other shark lands on him.

The Second Coming goes towards The Chosen One, only to be stopped by an arrow, the former carries the latter and draws a rhino, acting as a shield. The arrows attack the rhino and Primal grabs a spear out, leaving them distracted. He slams the spear into the rhino, killing it.

The Second Coming draws an actual shield and Hazard knock it out of his hands. The Second Coming draws a blade to attack Hazard with, but he dodges his attacks and kicks him. The Second Coming draws a bird and it prevents Hazard from seeing, triggering him to make a car alarm sound.

Ballista, Primal and Hazard kill all of The Second Coming’s drawings, they rush towards both The Second Coming and The Chosen One, only for them to suddenly stop. Agent slowly walks towards The Second Coming, the latter gets his pencil out as Agent walks towards him. The Second Coming draws various things and Agent to block it with a shield from his rectangle tool. Agent changes to using a lasso, dragging The Second Coming. He change to use the line tool to hit The Second Coming with, only for him to dodge the attack.

Ballista, Primal and Hazard surround The Chosen One, while Agent fighting The Second Coming chooses to use a line to attack The Second Coming with. He dodges his attacks and end up knocking The Second Coming's sword away. Agent uses one of his tools on him and spin him around repeatedly, until he is kicked. He is about to attack Agent again, and Agent uses a pausing tool on The Second Coming, which he takes the drawing tool away from him.

Agent looks back, seeing The Chosen One use his pyrokinesis and laser powers, he flies towards Agent, but Agent uses his pausing tool on him. They are both taken away, which the Fighting Stick Figures witness.

They are transported to a private building, both The Second Coming and The Chosen One are taken into a containment room by victim's workers, the former is thrown into a jail cell, seeing his drawing tool being confiscated by victim's workers, while The Chosen One is put in the Box by victim's workers, still paused.

The mercenaries walk past a laboratory with numerous stick figures and go into an elevator. They arrive in an office, the boss turns around his chair, revealing himself to be victim. Agent shows him the wanted poster of The Chosen One, showing victim that they have captured The Chosen One and are waiting for their reward.

• In the beginning of the episode, none of the drivers' bodies are cut off correctly.

• The area around the place that The Showdown took place changes and all the holes created by The Second Coming, The Chosen One, The Dark Lord and Alan's cursor are not in the scene.
• The iceberg disappears when The Chosen One visits the fighting place from The Showdown the second time.

• In the original video thumbnail, Yellow's leg is cut off.

• The cumulonimbus cloud created by The Chosen One, when far away from it, appears gray, instead of white, like in real life.
• The circle that The Animator creates defending himself from The Second Coming in the fight scene seemingly disappears when it leaves our view.
• When the Fighting Stick Figures first appear, their legs are noticeably shorter than usual.
• When The Chosen One saves a citizen from a raining piece of debris, he is off model as he activates his laser vision.
  • However, there's a possible chance it was done intentionally.

• CG Geek made a behind the scenes video of this episode, explaining how he created the city buildings from the intro sequence, using Blender.
  • He does animation, Blender tutorials, tech reviews, visual effects, et cetera.
• In the thumbnail, it shows the Stick Gang locked in a cell, however, in the video, only The Second Coming was captured, along with The Chosen One.
