Yeah, I could not come up with a creative title for this. shrug Call this my own version of fanart, since my drawing and technology skills are not as good as other people's. However, I do enjoy writing, so I figured, why not?

A Strange Dream[]

(Purple appears in a mysterious black void. He looks around, walking around and wondering how he got there)

Purple: Am I in the black hole again? No... That's impossible. (He cries out) Dad? SC? Guys? (He hears a voice in the distance)

Voice: Purple...

Purple: Huh? Who said that? (He takes a fighting stance) Show yourself!

Voice: It's me, Purple... (A spotlight appears shining down on none other than Dark Blue) your old man, Dark Blue. (Purple is stunned)

Purple: (stammering) D- Dad? I- Is it really you?

Dark Blue: Yes.

Purple: What are you doing here?

Dark Blue: I... Realize what I have done to you and your mother. I have caused you untold amounts of pain. I want to start over with you, I want a relationship with you again. I am sorry. Can you forgive me? (This question gives Purple pause. As much as he wants to forgive Dark Blue, just as Green did for himself, he does not want to expose himself to all that pain again)

Purple: I... I don't know... (Dark Blue's tone starts to get slightly angry)

Dark Blue: What do you mean, "You don't know?"

Purple: Well it's a lot to take in. I mean, I am living happily with King, my adoptive father... (Dark Blue cuts him off)

Dark Blue: (Scoff) I always knew you were weak.

Purple: Wha- What do you mean? (Dark Blue slowly steps toward him, his temper and voice rising)

Dark Blue: You can't even make a simple decision. Everything I did for you was to prepare you for this world.

Purple: What?

Dark Blue: Our training sessions, all of it... I was training you. I was teaching you that, when the world fights, you fight back... But even after all this time, you still can't. What have I done to get a son like you?! (He and Purple fight. Though Purple's skills have improved, so have his birth father's. Dark Blue grabs Purple and picks him up)

Purple: Dad, I... (Tears fill his eyes) I thought you wanted a relationship with me...

Dark Blue: And I thought you changed. I thought you were strong, but I guess you are still just as incompetent as when I left you.

Purple: (crying) Dad... Please...

Dark Blue: (heartlessly) I see I made the right choice. (He throws Purple down the void, leading him to fall endlessly)

(Purple suddenly appears in his bed, sitting upright and breathing heavily, his heart pounding)

Purple: Ah! (Pants) What? Wh- Where am I? (He looks around. In the dim light of the moon, he sees the familiar confines of his bedroom in King's house) It... It was a dream? (He holds his head, still a little weary) But it felt so real... (He takes some deep breaths, and slowly, his heartbeat slows down) My biological dad...? I haven't seen him in so long... Does he want... to see me again? No... no it couldn't have been real... could it? (Thoughts swirl around his head. He tries going back to sleep, but can only get it in intermittent spurts. His anxious and curious thoughts attack him relentlessly) Maybe I'll talk to Dad--my loving and caring adoptive father--about it in the morning... I can't carry this alone.

A Morning Talk[]

(After a restless night, Purple gets up to the smell of something cooking. He enters the kitchen and sees King Orange cooking breakfast on the stove.)

King: Good morning, Purple.

Purple: (distant) Morning, Dad.

King: I'm making your favorite: French toast sticks. Want some?

Purple: No thanks, Dad.

King: Something wrong, kiddo? You seem a bit distracted.

Purple: (Deep breath) Yeah. Do you have a minute? I need to talk with you about something. (He sits on the couch)

King: Of course, any amount of time for you. (He turns the stovetop off and joins his son) What's the matter?

Purple: (Sigh) You might think this is weird but... I had this dream last night. It was about my dad, my birth dad.

King: Dark Blue?

Purple: Yeah.

King: (slowly) Okaaaay... I'm listening.

Purple: Well, in this dream, he said he wanted to start over with me. He asked for my forgiveness, but I couldn't give him an answer. When I couldn't respond, he returned to his old way: toxic and abusive before he threw me down an abyss. That's when I woke up. Dad... my stomach is in knots.

King: What do you mean?

Purple: A part of me wants to find Dark Blue and makes things right with him. A part of me wants to forgive him... (He trails off)

King: You have a good heart, Purple. But there are some things to keep in mind. First of all, this was a dream. A nightmare, if you will. We should not let our lives be directed by every little thing.

Purple: I know... You're right.

King: Second, I want you to be careful, son. If you were to find Dark Blue, there is a chance he is his same way. While people can change for the better, you and I are examples of that, some people are just plain bad and stay that way. I don't want to think ill of others, but there are two sides to this coin. It could be very rewarding, or simply heartbreaking.

Purple: I am well aware. That nightmare showed me both sides of him.

King: I care deeply for you, Purple, and I don't want to put you in harm's way. But, at the same time, you are approaching an age where you can make your own decisions.

Purple: Thanks, Dad.

King: You said that a part of you wanted to find your birth dad. What does the other part want?

Purple: Well, you hit it on the head. I don't want to expose myself to that pain again, either.

King: That's understandable.

Purple: But what if Dark Blue wants to see me again? Maybe he is searching for me.

King: That is possible.

Purple: Maybe he doesn't want to see me.

King: As much as I hate to say it, that is also possible. But, I have to ask, why?

Purple: What do you mean?

King: Why do you want to see Dark Blue again?

Purple: Like it or not, he is my birth dad, and the only biological family I have left.

King: There's more to a family than blood lines, son. And sometimes, bonds are even stronger than blood.

Purple: I know. (He hugs his dad) And our bonds are so tight. (King hugs him back)

King: I am so grateful for that, but at the end of the day, whatever you choose, I'll be by your side.

Purple: Thanks. For now, I choose that butter-flavored syrup for those French toast sticks.

King: (Laughs) I'll grab it from the pantry. The sticks might be a little cold, though.

Purple: It'll be fine. After breakfast, do you mind if I visit the Gang? I might want to talk with them about this.

King: Go right ahead. Better yet, bring them around for a visit. If you want to, we can all discuss this.

Purple: I would like that. (He takes a seat at the table and serves himself. King joins him)

Welcome Back to the Outernet[]

(After finishing their meal, King and Purple clean up)

King: Remember, Purple, dirty dishes go in the sink.

Purple: (rolling his eyes) I know, I know...

King: (Sigh) Are you ready for this, son?

Purple: If I waited until I was ready, I'd be waiting for a long time.

King: Let's go find your dad.

Purple: I'll call the gang. No doubt they can help.

(Meanwhile, Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue were chilling on Alan's PC, playing cards with each other)

Blue: Ace of Hearts! Get Euchred!

Yellow: Blue coming in the clutch! (He high-fives Blue)

Green: I can't believe it. I had both Bowers.

Red: I'm sorry I couldn't help, Green, but you called the one suit I didn't have.

Green: I don't blame you, Red. I was the one who called Clubs.

Yellow: Did you have any other Clubs, Green?

Green: No, just a couple of Kings. Of course you and Blue had their Aces.

Blue: What can I say? I'm an expert dealer.

Yellow: And that is 5-2, us.

Red: (chuckling) Your chemistry with Blue is game-breaking, Yellow.

Yellow: Hey, we are unbeatable together.

Green: Alright, alright, give me the cards. It's my deal. (Everyone gives Green their cards and he starts shuffling)

Blue: Not gonna lie, Green, seeing you finish second in something is a refreshing change of pace.

Red: I am in agreement, even if that involves me going down with you.

Green: (sarcastically) Ha, ha, very funny. You forget one loner hand and we have retaken the lead.

Yellow: Yes, indeed. This game is far from over. (TSC walks up to them, stretching after waking up for the day)

The Second Coming: Morning, fellas.

Green: Morning, sleepyhead.

The Second Coming: What are you guys doing?

Blue: Yellow found the rules for a card game called Euchre.

Red: We decided for a change of pace, to do something supposedly calm.

Yellow: But with someone as competitive as Green, I don't think cards suit our style.

Green: I do want to finish this game, though. Also, Yellow, that pun was terrible.

Yellow: (smiling) It was supposed to be.

The Second Coming: Looks like fun.

Green: It really is, even if I'm on the losing end and getting shade from the others. (He starts dealing)

Red: Hey, don't take it personally, Green. It's just rare that we can beat the guy who's good at everything.

Yellow: It's all in fun, buddy. Besides, your competitiveness is what we love about you. (He pats Green on the shoulder)

Blue: You drive us to be better, if only to 1-up you. (He, Yellow, and Red chuckle. Green can't help but smile as well)

Green: I know you guys are joking, but I still hate losing.

The Second Coming: It's a good thing you don't lose much, then. (The five of them laugh)

Green: Thanks, guys. Anyway, Yellow, it's your call, and oooh, a Jack of Diamonds! Pick it up or pass? (His phone rings) Oh, wait, I'm getting a call. Do you guys mind...?

Blue: No, go right ahead. (Green answers it)

Green: Hello?

Purple: Green? It's me, Purple.

Green: Purple! How's it going? Hang on, you want to talk to the guys, too?

Purple: For sure!

Green: Hang on. (He puts the phone on speaker) OK, Purple, you're on speaker.

Purple: Hi, guys! My dad's here too.

King: Hey, fellas.

Stick Gang: Hi, Purple and King!

Purple: Wanna come over to my house? I kinda need your help.

The Second Coming: Of course, Purple.

Blue: Anything for you, buddy.

Purple: Great, but first, I want to teach you to fly. Grab some elytra for each of you and my dad and enough fireworks for the seven of us.

King: And some beds if you want to.

Red: Ooooh, a slumber party! Sounds hype!

Yellow: I'll get right on it.

Green: What's the mission, Purple?

Purple: I'll fill you in when you get here. The first one here gets my dad's French toast sticks. He's making some fresh.

King: My cooking might be better than yours, Blue.

Blue: I doubt that, but I am willing to try it. It sounds delicious.

The Second Coming: We'll be right there, with the elytra, fireworks, and beds.

Purple: I would say bring the Minecraft block, but I think we all remember what happened last time. (They all share a laugh)

Green: I'll see you momentarily, bro.

Purple: I'm looking forward to it. (He hangs up) They're on their way, Dad.

King: I'd better get cooking, then.

(Back on Alan's PC, Yellow collects what was asked)

Yellow: Got the stuff, guys. (He hands an elytra and some fireworks to his friends, saving one for himself and one more for King) Let's go! (The five of them head through the portal to the Nether and find the portal to King's basement)

Purple's Plan[]

(The five of them enter the portal. Purple is on the other side, waiting for them)

Purple: Guys!

Stick Gang: Purple! (They embrace Purple, and he hugs them back)

Purple: It's so good to see you all!

Green: Same to you, buddy.

Purple: Follow me up the ladder. My dad's cooking a treat for you all.

Blue: It smells delicious.

Yellow: Indeed, Blue. You might have competition.

Red: Well, let's get it! I'm hungry! (He races to the ladder)

The Second Coming: Thanks for the invite, Purple.

Purple: My pleasure, but it was my dad's idea. (Everyone climbs the ladder to the top) Dad, our guests have arrived.

The Second Coming: Hey, King!

King: Hi, boys. Help yourself to some French toast sticks. Syrup, butter, and utensils are also on the table.

Red: Mmmmm! It looks great!

Yellow: Now my stomach's rumbling.

Blue: It looks good, King. Let's see if it tastes as good as it looks.

King: It's Purple's favorite. He gets so giddy whenever I make it for him.

Purple: (slightly embarrassed) Daaaad...

King: It's a parent's job to embarrass their kids. (He smiles)

Green: Ooooh, I wonder what other dirt he has on you, buddy.

Purple: Don't get him started. (He smiles at his friend. The seven of them assemble at the table, and the Gang start eating the French toast)

Red: Wow! That is delicious!

Green: I am in agreement. This is amazing!

Yellow: What do you think, Blue? Does it meet your standards?

Blue: Oh, for sure. I'm not sure I could do better.

The Second Coming: We might need that recipe, King. This is great.

King: Thanks, guys, but I do believe Purple wanted to talk to you.

Green: Oh, yeah! The mission.

The Second Coming: What's this about, Purple?

Purple: Well... I am hoping I can find my birth father. A part of me is holding out hope that maybe, just maybe, he wants to see me again. I am aware this might easily blow up in my face, and I am taking full responsibility for whatever happens. This is entirely my idea and if things go sour, I am prepared for it. Are you five willing to help?

Green: Are you sure about this, Purple? We don't want to see you get hurt.

King: Trust me, I told him as much, but he is adamant that he wants to do this.

Yellow: (to the other members of the Gang) What do you guys think?

Red: I say we help him.

The Second Coming: I'm not sure. I'm concerned about him.

Blue: I agree on both fronts, but there seems to be no stopping him.

Green: He's our friend. I don't want to see him hurt, either, but if this works out, this might change his life for the better.

The Second Coming: So that's a yes? We're helping him.

Yellow: It seems like it.

Blue: Purple, we're on board.

Red: Let's do it!

Purple: (Exhale) Thanks, guys. I appreciate it.

Green: What's your plan?

King: Well, I was thinking making "Wanted" posters and spreading them across the city.

Purple: That's why I wanted you guys to bring the elytra. Flying there will save a lot of time. You guys brought them, right?

Yellow: Yeah, I got them, and the fireworks.

Red: Oh, this is so cool! I'm so excited to fly!

Blue: Welcome to the happiest day of your life, Red.

Purple: Follow me outside. Let's fly. (Everyone follows Purple. Yellow divvies out the elytra among himself, King, and the rest of the Gang, as well as the fireworks. Purple shows them how to use the wings, and they all catch on relatively quickly)

The Second Coming: I never knew how fun this was.

Red: I can do loop-the-loops! (He spins in midair) This is awesome!

Purple: I'm glad you all are enjoying it.

Green: I think we got a handle on it, Purple. Shall we go?

Purple: Yeah. Let's make some posters and head out.

King's Cross to Bear[]

(After printing copies, the seven sticks assemble two groups of two and one group of three and take off with their elytra to the city. The groups separate from each other upon reaching the city to cover more ground. One of these groups is made up of the two orange stick figures, King and TSC. The two of them land and begin hanging the posters)

King: (Sigh) This brings back memories.

The Second Coming: Memories of what, King?

King: Of putting up posters for you and your friends. That's how I met Purple.

The Second Coming: Oh yeah, that rings a bell.

King: How did you cross paths with Purple, anyway?

The Second Coming: Well, it wasn't me at first. Green and Blue discovered a Nether portal, which eventually led them to a village Purple ruled over.

King: Purple was king of a village? He never told me that.

The Second Coming: That may be because of how his reign ended. He left Blue and Green to die in The End in favor of capturing the Ender Dragon's egg, but Red, Yellow, and I saved them just in time. Purple took the egg back, but the Ender Dragon followed him and nearly destroyed the village. He gave the egg back and the villagers overthrew him.

King: Well, that explains why he never told me. No doubt one of many moments he'd rather forget.

The Second Coming: I'd imagine he just wanted to please his dad. I cannot fully fault him for that.

King: I agree. (He pauses for a moment) SC, can I ask you something?

The Second Coming: Sure, what is it?

King: Have you ever feared you would lose your family? Your friends, Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue, I mean.

The Second Coming: Actually, yes.

King: Really? If I may ask, when, and what happened?

The Second Coming: Funnily enough, it was after Purple's overthrow. My friends found a bunch more Nether portals. They wanted to explore them, I wanted to go home. We... went our separate ways after that. It was relaxing at first, but I quickly became lonely without them. I also sensed something wrong and went after them. I had quite the adventure after that, but we reunited and made it home. Why do you ask? Is there something on your mind?

King: Yeah, actually. I am worried about... losing Purple. I mean, what if Dark Blue comes to take him back? I don't want him to get hurt, but I also don't want to feel that pain... again. You very well remember the last time I lost a beloved child.

The Second Coming: I do remember that. The destruction of Minecraft is hard to forget.

King: (Chuckles) Yeah.

The Second Coming: I can understand your concern. However, I think if Purple had to choose between the two of you, he would choose you every time, King. He speaks so highly of you whenever he hangs out with us.

King: He does?

The Second Coming: He certainly does, and I believe his bond with you is too tight to break just because of some this. Does Purple not have room in his heart for both his dads, biological and adoptive? (King ponders this)

King: Purple is such a good guy. He has a genuine heart. He definitely does has room in it, I know he does.

The Second Coming: He just wants a connection with his past, King.

King: I suppose you're right.

The Second Coming: If you are concerned about it, talk to him.

King: You're right, but I suppose that's my cross to bear. Thanks for being willing to listen, SC.

The Second Coming: No problem, King. And just remember, you don't bear that cross alone. You have me, rest of the Gang, and above all, your son, to help with that, and I doubt that will ever change.

King: That puts my mind at ease.

The Second Coming: How are you doing on the posters?

King: I'm on my last one.

The Second Coming: Same here. (They hang their last posters) Are you ready?

King: Yep. Time for our rendezvous at the house with everyone else. (They put their elytra on and take off for King's home)

Back Home[]

(King and TSC return to King's house. They see Green and Purple have beaten them back)

The Second Coming: I see you two finished first.

Green: Yep. Purple and I make a great team.

Purple: You said it, buddy. (He wraps his arm around Green, who does the same to him)

King: Hey Purple, I want to ask you something. (He leads Purple away from Green)

Purple: Sure, Dad. What is it?

King: Well... assuming Dark Blue does want to take you back, would you choose him... or me? The reason I ask is because I care greatly for you and I don't want to lose you... not again. And, as much as I hate to admit it, we don't have the same bloodlines that you and Dark Blue have.

Purple: Dad, if I had to choose, I'd choose you every time. You have done more for me than anyone outside of maybe Green and my mom. You have no idea how grateful I am to have you in my life.

King: Same to you, Purple. Same to you. (They hug each other, their eyes welling up. TSC and Green look on, both of them tearing up as well)

The Second Coming: That's so sweet.

Green: I agree. (TSC looks at him)

The Second Coming: Bring it in, buddy.

Green: (Chuckles) Sure thing. (The two put their arms on each other and watch King and Purple's embrace. As they do, Red, Yellow, and Blue arrive and, seeing Purple and King together, they decide to stay quiet and watch with Green and TSC)

The Second Coming: (to the FSF) Seeing them together reminds me of you guys, my family. Never forget how much I love you all. (Purple notices the primary-colored sticks and is caught off-guard by them)

Purple: (startled) Oh, sorry guys. (He lets go and dries his eyes)

Blue: (Chuckle) It's no big deal.

Red: It warms my heart.

Yellow: Yeah, don't mind us.

King: I'm glad you don't mind. I take you three are done.

Blue: Yep. We put up all the posters.

Yellow: We might've gotten back earlier if Red wasn't distracted.

Red: Aw, lighten up, Yellow. Flying is so much fun.

Blue: He's got you there, buddy.

Green: Now... I guess we wait for a response.

The Second Coming: What do you want to do until then?

King: I got some things to keep us entertained. Follow me inside, I'll check the closet for some games. (He leads the rainbow-colored sticks inside and digs around in a closet for some games. What he finds is something he hasn't thought about in years) Oh wow... I remember this.

Purple: What is it, Dad?

King: It's an old game of Clue. I got it for Gold whenever he had friends over. (Chuckle) Gold was the type to try anything and everything. Any new game, any new friends, you can bet that Gold wanted a part of it. (He pulls it out and checks its contents) It seems like we still have all the pieces and cards. You guys want to play?

Green: I love me some games!

Red: You always have been down for any sort of competition.

Yellow: It sounds like fun. Does it allow for seven?

King: No, but I can sit out. You six can play, I'll get you guys snacks. No doubt you're hungry after a long day.

The Second Coming: Come to think of it, yeah.

Blue: We'd appreciate it. Thanks, King.

King: No problem at all.

Purple: I never knew we had this. How do you play? (Yellow grabs the rule book and quickly reads it)

Yellow: It looks like a murder mystery game, and we are the suspects. The goal is to figure out who committed the crime, where it took place, and what weapon was used. (Red glances at the book over his shoulder)

Red: Hey, these pieces match our colors, except for you, SC. They don't seem to have an orange piece.

The Second Coming: What do they have instead?

Yellow: A white character named, Ms. White. Fitting.

The Second Coming: I can play as her.

Blue: Let's get it set up. (He spreads the board on the table. Everyone takes their matching colored piece, aside from TSC, who grabs White. King arrives with several bowls and finger food like chips and pretzels)

King: Snacks, anyone?

Red: Yes, please!

Green: Let's get the game started first. OK, fellas?

Purple: I'm in agreement. I'm excited as well to learn a new game.

Green: I'm not a fan of the dice aspect. I'm not very lucky, and I prefer a game of skill. (Yellow begins separating the cards into people, places, and weapons and shuffles them)

Yellow: It looks like there's some strategy involved, so there's your skill, Green. (He places one of each into the envelope, these three being the murder suspect, weapon, and room)

The Second Coming: I'm looking forward to beating you all.

Blue: Oooh, the trash talk is real.

Purple: Let's roll!

A Great Day[]

(The Clue game begins and continues. Deep into the game, it is Purple's turn)

The Second Coming: Alright, Mr. Plum, your turn. (He hands Purple the dice)

Purple: Here we go! (He rolls a nine) Perfect. I can reach the dining room. (He moves his piece there and starts a rumor) I think it was White poisoned him in the dining room.

The Second Coming: Why do you think it's me?

Purple: (chuckling) How could it not be you?

Green: I can't disprove that rumor.

Red: Neither can I.

Yellow: I can. (He slides Purple the dining room card, and he secretly looks at it)

Purple: Huh... Not what I expected. Thanks, Yellow.

Yellow: I'd prefer not to help you, but not a problem.

Green: (Scoff) And you call me a tryhard.

Blue: We all are, Green. You just try harder than the rest of us.

Purple: I'm so close! You're next, Green. (He passes Green the dice, and he rolls them)

King: How are you guys enjoying the game?

Red: I really like it.

Yellow: Same here.

The Second Coming: I agree, but I mostly enjoy spending time with you all.

Blue: Aww. We love you too, SC. (The game goes continues a bit further. It is eventually Yellow's turn)

Yellow: I'm right there! (He rolls the dice and gets a five) Oh my gosh, I just got enough to reach the pool. (He moves his piece into the pool) I am ready to make a final accusation.

Red: Careful, Yellow. You get it wrong, you lose.

Yellow: I am aware, but I am 99% sure I solved the mystery. (He checks his Clue sheet to make sure) Yes. I believe it was White with the poison in the hall. (Everyone else checks their sheets as Yellow grabs the envelope and peeks at the cards within)

Green: Were you right, Yellow?

Yellow: My calculations were... Correct! (He reveals the three cards to his friends)

Blue: Good job, Yellow!

The Second Coming: I guess I was the guilty party this time.

Purple: Do you think SC used Netherwart in that poison?

Green: (Laughing) Good one, buddy. But I was so close. I knew the person and the room. Who had the knife?

Purple: I did. I knew the person and Yellow gave me a room I thought was it, but that was about it. I was down to two weapons.

Red: Same, Purple. I knew the person, and was close to the other two.

King: Congratulations, Yellow. You solved the case. Do you guys want to play again?

The Second Coming: There's still daylight out. Want to do some sparring outside? The seven of us?

Green: That sounds very therapeutic right now.

Blue: Uh-oh, keep away from Green. But if you all are down, I'm ready.

Red: I agree, I would like to stretch my legs.

King: I'll collect your dishes, boys.

The Second Coming: Do you want some help cleaning up, King?

King: Do you guys mind?

The Second Coming: Oh, not at all. It's the least we could do for your hospitality.

King: In that case, be my guest. Literally and figuratively. (They all share a laugh)

Purple: You are the ultimate dad, Dad. You even got the dad jokes. (The seven of them all chip in to clean up the game and snacks. With everything put away, they head outside for some friendly sparring)

Yellow: This feels so weird.

Blue: How so, buddy?

Yellow: We're not fighting in a 2D plane, like in Photoshop or on ALANSPC. We can move from side to side.

Red: It feels good to be outside. (He pulls out his elytra and floats in the air)

Green: The elytra will add some fun to this.

Purple: For sure.

The Second Coming: Purple, you gotta show me how you fight with those wings. It still astounds me how you beat me and Red when we fought for the Minecraft block.

Purple: Enough work with elytra, you begin to learn how to use it.

King: You guys ready? I'm excited to face off against you, SC, once again. This time, you don't have a warden to help you out.

The Second Coming: And you don't have a staff to help you either.

Green: Let's get it started! 3... 2... 1... Fight! (The seven of them playfully spar, King and Purple impressing the others with some of the skills they picked up from each other. After a while, the sun starts to set, and King ushers them all inside for some dinner)

King: That was great, quite the change of pace from when we were on opposite sides.

The Second Coming: I agree. Very refreshing. I see your skills have improved since the last time we fought, King.

King: That might be because you don't have a warden any more. (They laugh) I'm getting hungry. Anyone else hungry?

Stick Gang and Purple: Yes.

King: Do you guys like pizza? I can order some.

Purple: Sounds like a perfect ending to a great day. I also have some movies to keep us entertained.

Red: I'm down. Is this what the beds were for?

King: I had hoped, but only if you guys want to spend the night.

Green: Practically anything with Purple I am all for.

Yellow: Indeed. It sounds great.

Blue: On both fronts, King, the pizza and just hanging out.

King: Do you five have a certain favorite? I know what Purple likes.

The Second Coming: Plain cheese. Nothing too exciting for me.

Yellow: Same here.

Blue: If they don't have Netherwart toppings, I'm content with cheese.

Red: Extra pepperoni, with pepper flakes. I like mine with a kick.

Green: You guys are gonna give me so much flack, but I have a soft spot for ham and pineapple.

Purple: Wait, really?

Green: Yeah, why?

Purple: That's my favorite. I don't know why it is so hated.

Green: The sweet and savory works.

Purple: YES!

King: One cheese, one ham and pineapple, one half-cheese-half-pepperoni. I'll order it.

Purple: Thanks, Dad.

The Second Coming: Thanks, King. You have been so hospitable to us.

King: Anything for friends of Purple, and you six have done more for me than words can express.

The Second Coming: Thanks, King, and though I can't speak for all of us, I think we can all agree that that means a lot to us.

King: You guys mean a lot to me. (He picks up the phone and calls the pizza place for delivery)

Purple: I got some movies on streaming. What sounds good to you?

Yellow: I'm down for anything, really.

Red: We'll find something. I'm sure of it.

Green: Wait, how about that one?

Blue: Ooh, I've heard good things about it.

Purple: I have as well. Shall we?

The Second Coming: Go for it. I am intrigued as well. (Purple plays the movie. The pizza soon arrives, and the seven of them enjoy the food, the movies, and above all, each other's company. After a long night of binge watching their favorite things, they all turn in, King and Purple in their rooms and the Stick Gang on the beds they brought, mostly in the living room)

What "SC" Truly Stands For[]

(Purple and Green wake up the next morning)

Purple: Morning, Green.

Green: Shhh! SC is still sleeping.

Purple: (quietly) Is he a heavy sleeper?

Green: (quietly) Yeah, and he values his sleep greatly. (He and Purple sneak out of Purple's room into the living room. The three primary-colored sticks are also waking up for the day)

Red: (stretching) Morning, guys.

Yellow and Blue: Morning, Red.

Green: Morning, all.

Red, Yellow, and Blue: Morning, Green, Purple.

Yellow: Is SC still sleeping?

Green: Yeah. You know how he likes sleeping.

Yellow: Hey, are you guys thinking what I'm thinking?

Purple: Probably not.

Yellow: Well, I'm thinking of pranking SC.

Red: (excited) Ooh, sounds like fun!

Blue: What's your plan, Yellow?

Yellow: Something the letters "SC" could stand for: shaving cream. Let's prank him with it... assuming your dad has some, Purple.

Purple: Yeah, he has some in the bathroom. It's in case he grows a beard, so he says. I'll go get it. (He grabs the can. Red pulls out a feather and the five of them sneak into Purple's bedroom, where TSC is sleeping soundly and snoring slightly)

Red: (quietly) This'll be fun! (Green, Blue, and Purple struggle to stifle their laughter)

Yellow: (whispering) Shh! Shh! Keep it down! We don't want to wake him. (He fills TSC's hand with shaving cream. Red stands over him and tickles TSC's face with the feather. Out of instinct, the orange stick brushes it away, unintentionally giving himself a face full of shaving cream)

Green: (whispering) I'm getting a picture! (Everyone gathers around TSC. Green takes a picture of them with his phone) I got a new wallpaper.

Purple: (whispering) I do as well. Text it to me later.

Green: (whispering) You got it, bro. (TSC, feeling the shaving cream on his face, soon wakes up)

The Second Coming: (groggy) Huh...? (He opens his eyes and sees his friends surrounding him) Oh, morning guys. (He feels the shaving cream) Wait... what is this? And why are you all smiling? (Everyone starts laughing at their prank. TSC looks at the white foam on his hand) Is this... shaving cream? Oh, real mature, guys.

Red: Oh, c'mon, SC. It's a harmless prank.

Purple: (jokingly) That's what you get for being the last one up.

Blue: That was brilliant, Yellow. (He and Yellow high-five, still laughing. TSC can't help but smile seeing his friends so happy)

The Second Coming: (playfully) OK, OK, you got me. But you guys watch out. I'll get you back. (King, who is also up, hears the laughing and, after knocking, opens the door to Purple's room)

King: Morning, kids.

Stick Gang: Morning, King.

Purple: Morning, Dad. (King sees TSC)

King: Wait... SC? Did you get shaving creamed?

The Second Coming: Yep. I was the victim, AKA the last one up.

King: Are you sure, or does "SC" stand for Santa Claus, now? (Everyone laughs)

Purple: Dad, come on over. We need to get a selfie together with SC before he cleans up.

King: (laughing) Don't mind if I do. (He joins the others. Purple takes a selfie with his phone)

Green: Send me that, Purple.

Purple: No need to tell me twice.

The Second Coming: Do you mind if I use your bathroom to wash my face off?

King: Go right ahead. (TSC goes to wash himself)

The Second Coming: Yellow, was this your idea?

Yellow: Guilty as charged. You remember my love of pranks.

The Second Coming: That was a good one, but watch your back.

Yellow: I am prepared for it, but if you try anything involving my Staff...

The Second Coming: Don't worry, Yellow. I won't cross that line.

Yellow: Thanks, buddy. (TSC goes to clean up)

King: And thank you, Yellow, for taking good care of it. It's calming to know it is not in evil hands.

Yellow: You're more then welcome. In fact, I should be thanking you for it. (TSC returns, now clean)

King: (Deep sigh) I'd imagine you guys have to go home.

The Second Coming: Yeah, we probably should. Alan is probably wondering where we are.

Red: Thanks for teaching us how to fly!

Blue: Yesterday was amazing. Thank you guys.

Yellow: Indeed, thanks again.

Green: We love spending time with you guys.

Purple: No more than I enjoy spending time with you. Thanks for your help.

Green: Text or call me when you hear something from your dad.

Purple: You will be the first to know. Well, second, behind my adoptive father.

Green: Oh, for sure.

Purple: I'm hoping I can find a connection... with my past.

Green: You will, Purple, in one way or another.

Blue: Hey King, do you have then French toast stick recipe?

King: Yes, I do, but that's a bit of a secret.

Blue: OK, I can respect that. I'll just try to figure it out on my own.

Yellow: I can help you, if you want.

The Second Coming: No Netherwart, though. Is that fair?

Blue: More for me.

The Second Coming: Shall we go?

Green: First... (He hugs Purple. Almost immediately after, everyone gathers in a group hug)

Purple: I love you guys.

Stick Gang: We love you too. (They release, and TSC opens the door to the basement)

The Second Coming: We'll see you guys soon.

King: Visit us any time, as they say, mi casa es su casa.

The Second Coming: Thanks, King.

Fighting Stick Figures: Bye, guys! (They wave farewell to their friends)

Purple and King: Bye! (They wave back. The Gang drops through the trapdoor and then head into the portal, using their new wings to fly home)

A Strange Occurrence[]

(A couple of weeks pass since the Gang's sleepover at King's house. Green is about to chillax with some music on the sofa)

Green: Ahh, what should I listen to next? (He notices a picture of himself and the rest of the Gang on a bookshelf, which reminds him of Purple) Wait... Purple hasn't texted or called or anything. I haven't heard a word from him. Oh, I hope he's OK. I'd better check on him. (He grabs a pair of elytra and enters the portal leading to the Nether, flying toward the portal leading to King's basement)

(Over the course of these two weeks, King has noticed Purple's attitude shift. The normally cheery and outgoing Purple has become a lot more quiet and reclusive, barely coming out of his bedroom after hearing nothing from anyone about Dark Blue. King realizes he needs to stop this downward spiral before it progresses further and goes to Purple's bedroom, hoping the two of them can talk. He lightly knocks on the door)

King: Purple? Son? Are you in there? Are you OK? (To his surprise, the door is slightly ajar) May I come in? (He peeks into Purple's room, but is shocked to see it empty) Purple? (The window is open, and Purple's elytra are gone) Purple?! (He pops his head out the window, become increasingly more panicked) Oh no, no, no, no, please no... (He bolts out the front door and scans the skies) PURPLE?! (There is no sign of him. King heads back inside in a worried frenzy, unable to focus or think straight) What do I do? Where could he be? What did I do for him to leave? (At that moment, Green arrives at King's trapdoor and knocks)

Green: Hello? Purple? Are you there? (King hears him and races to the trapdoor)

King: Green? (He opens the door and pulls Green up)

Green: Hey, King.

King: Green! (He throws his arms around Green, tears flowing down his cheeks. Green is quite surprised, not expecting this in the slightest)

Green: Oh... OK... Uh, King, are you OK?

King: No, no I am not.

Green: What happened? And where's Purple?

King: He's gone.

Green: (shocked) Gone?

King: Yeah. I checked his bedroom and all I found was an open window and his elytra missing. I have no idea where he went or what happened to him.

Green: What...? W- W- Why? How?

King: I don't know. All I know is he has been acting very unlike himself in recent weeks, so I went up to talk to him, except he wasn't there.

Green: OK, OK... We mustn't panic. Panicking doesn't solve anything. (Green's soothing voice calms King down)

King: (Deep breath) You're right. (Green puts a hand on King's shoulder)

Green: We'll find him, I promise. Where would he be?

King: Probably the big city. That's where all of his favorite hangouts are.

Green: Grab your wings, King. We're gonna find him.

King: Yeah, and call your friends. They could most certainly help.

Green: I'll text them. (He quickly sends a text to the rest of the Gang and pulls his wings out)

King: Quickly! I can't lose another son.

Green: You won't, King. I personally will make sure of it.

King: Green... thank you.

Green: Hey, this is my friend we're talking about, and, at his core, he's a great guy and a great friend. Losing him would break my heart.

King: Let's go. (He and Green shoot their fireworks and take off into the sky toward the city)

Green: Hey, King, you said Purple was behaving strangely. How so?

King: He has been locking himself in his room lately, barely coming out of it, and his upbeat nature has simply vanished. I suspect not hearing anything about Dark Blue took a toll on him.

Green: Yeah. When I didn't hear from him after two weeks, I decided to visit him myself, hence why I'm here.

King: Well, you missed him, but you found me at the perfect time.

Green: I suppose so. You don't think he'd... (King cuts him off)

King: No. I don't think he's in that deep. Not yet. (Sigh) I blame myself for this. I never should've let him do this in the first place.

Green: King, it's not your fault. Purple himself agreed to take the blame, no matter how it turned out.

King: I know, but... I'm getting flashbacks to when I lost Gold, my biological son. It was a choice I made that cost him his life. I let him play the game...

Green: You couldn't have known, King. I'm sure it was a mistake.

King: Still, if it wasn't for me, I might still have Gold in my life.

Green: And if not for that night, you would've never met us... or Purple, for that matter. (This gives King thought) If not for that night, Purple might still be trying to please Dark Blue, an endless cycle of pain and brokenness. You saved him from that, King.

King: No doubt you played a part in that, too. Don't sell yourself short.

Green: You probably have done more for him than I ever could. As competitive as I am, I admit you have me on that front.

King: Thanks, Green. But where could he be now?

Green: Well, he told me the last time we talked he wanted a connection with his past.

King: Could that mean something like his childhood home?

Green: Possibly, or perhaps a lost family member.

King: He once told me his mom passed away.

Green: He told me that, too. It's worth checking cemeteries. Perhaps he's paying his respects to his late mom.

King: You think so?

Green: It makes sense to me, and as far as I know, it's the only lead we have.

King: I'll try anything at this point, so long as I get my son back. I'm not losing him. Not again. (He pulls out some more fireworks and accelerates past Green toward the city)

A Lost Legacy[]

(With their new point of reference, they begin to check any cemeteries for Purple. It is not long before King spots him standing in front of a grave)

King: (pointing) Green! I found him! He's down there!

Green: I told you we'd find him. Let's see what's up. (He and King float down and land on the soft grass)

King: Son? (Purple hears this and is startled by it. He turns around and sees King and Green)

Purple: Dad? Green?

Green: Purple!

Purple: Guys! (He hugs them both, tears welling up in his eyes. King and Green begin crying as well)

King: Don't ever do that to me again, Purple.

Green: We were worried about you, buddy. We feared we lost you.

Purple: I'm sorry, Dad, Green. I just... needed to get away.

King: We'll talk about that later. For now, why did you stop here?

Purple: For a special reason. (He leads them over to a certain grave) This is my mom's final resting place.

King: Oh, son...

Green: I'm so sorry, Purple.

Purple: Thanks, Green. But I came here to... to find my legacy.

Green: What do you mean?

Purple: Well, some people want to leave a legacy. Me... I'm still looking for mine. My mom is gone and my birth dad is who knows where, so what have I inherited from my parents? Who was I supposed to be?

King: I cannot speak for either of your birth parents, Purple, but... do you want my answer to that?

Purple: Yeah, I would like that.

King: Who you are to me... You are, at your heart, a genuine and sweet soul who values his friends and family more than anything. You are a fighter, willing to stand against any adversary to keep your loved ones safe. You are a reminder, a reminder to me not only of Gold, the son I lost, but also of myself. There isn't a day that goes by when I don't think of Gold, but then I see you, my son. Just having you in my life reminds me that I can push past my former grief, just as you have. You are a reminder of what I have gone through, and a reminder that I am no longer who I was. But most of all, you are my son, my beloved son who came to me when I needed it most, even when I didn't realize it. I am so grateful for you. I truly don't deserve you. (Tears flow down Purple's face, his dad's words melting his heart)

Purple: That... That...

Green: I think you made him speechless, King.

Purple: That was beautiful. (He hugs his dad, tears flowing down both of their cheeks. Green smiles and weeps as well, secretly texting his friends an update about where Purple is)

King: That's who you are to me, Purple, and don't you ever forget it.

Purple: I won't. I promise.

King: I may not know what your parents wanted for you, but as for me, you are all that I could've asked for and then some. I couldn't have asked for a better son, nor for better friends for him. (He looks over at Green, who blushes shyly)

Green: I greatly appreciate it, King. Thank you.

Purple: I agree. Thanks, Green, for what you've done for me. It seems like you found something in me I couldn't find in myself... again.

Green: Anything for a friend.

Purple: How did you find me, anyway?

King: I went to talk to you, noticing the change in your behavior, but you were gone. Green came by at that time and we flew here with our elytra.

Green: I remembered what you told me, about finding a connection, and also remembered the loss of your mom. It wasn't much, but it was enough to find you.

Purple: I'm glad you did. Evidently I have a tendency of running away from those who can help me.

King: No one likes confronting their pain, son, not even me. It's even harder to open up to others about it. Your reaction is understandable, but there will be consequences for this.

Purple: I understand, Dad. I'm sorry.

Green: Don't be too hard on him, King. He's been through a lot.

King: We'll talk more about it at the house.

Purple: Understood.

Green: Remember this, Purple, you don't have to run and hide. You have me, you have the guys, and you have your father.

King: We will always be here for you whenever you need it. (Green hears something above him. It's TSC descending with his elytra)

Green: And if you need proof of that, Purple, SC is here.

The Second Coming: Purple! (He lands, runs up and hugs him) I'm glad to see you. When I got Green's text...

Purple: I'm alright, thanks to these guys here. (He gestures to King and Green)

The Second Coming: I'm thankful to hear that.

King: Where are the primaries?

The Second Coming: They're coming. It might take Red a little longer, since we told him to stay at the house, in case you returned, Purple.

Purple: Thanks, SC.

The Second Coming: Where are we, exactly?

Purple: My mom's grave. (He steps to the side. Behind him is a gravestone with "Pink" engraved in it)

The Second Coming: Oh my... Purple, I'm sorry.

Purple: It's OK. It's not your fault. I'm just glad to have found something else.

The Second Coming: What is that?

Purple: A legacy. I found who I am, and who I intend to be.

Green: And who is that, buddy?

Purple: Who you are to me: a friend to those who need it, and a fighter for them, and my family.

King: Be that guy, Purple. Be that guy.

Purple: I will. (Blue and Yellow arrive at the same time)

Blue and Yellow: Purple!

Purple: Blue! Yellow! (The three of them hug)

Blue: It's so good to see you!

Yellow: Blue was worried sick about you.

Blue: Hey, you were, too.

Yellow: Yeah, you're right.

Purple: Thanks, fellas. Do you guys know where Red is?

Blue: He should be coming.

Yellow: Probably soon.

Purple: Right on cue. (He looks up and sees Red in the sky. Red sees his friends and flies down)

Red: Purple! (He races up to him and embraces him, his momentum knocking Purple off his feet) I feared the worst! I'm so glad you're OK!

Purple: Thanks, buddy, but you're making a scene. (Red looks up and sees his friends over him. His shade of red turns from brick wall to fire engine to salmon pink in moments)

Red: (embarrassed) Oh my gosh I am so sorry!

Purple: Red, Red, relax. I appreciate the thought. (Everyone can't help but smile)

Green: He always has been selfless.

The Second Coming: Truly the heart of our team.

Yellow: Indeed, SC.

Blue: Call it relentless love. (Red helps Purple up)

Purple: You all came... for me?

The Second Coming: Of course, Purple.

Green: We wouldn't have it any other way.

King: Like I told you, Purple, bonds can be stronger than blood.

Red: Speaking of which, Purple, why did you come here?

Purple: To reconnect. (He shows them Pink's grave. Everyone takes a moment to pay their respects) I hope I'm making you proud, Mom.

King: I'd imagine if she was here, she would say, "You are."

The Second Coming: You've got to tell me, Purple, did you find that connection?

Purple: Yes. (He shows everyone the selfie he took after Yellow pranked TSC a couple of weeks prior)

The Second Coming: (embarrassed) Oh my gosh you kept that?

Purple: I had to. It's too good to get rid of. (Everyone laughs, even TSC) This... (He points at himself in the picture) This is who I am. I am Purple.

Yellow: That's a great person to be.

Purple: Thanks, guys, for showing up, for accepting me, for being there when I needed it most. (Everyone gathers around and hugs him, their eyes starting to well up)

Blue: We love you, Purple.

Purple: I love you guys, too. (Everyone releases)

King: Red, are you crying?

Red: (tearfully) I'm not crying, you're crying.

The Second Coming: Shall we go home, guys?

Purple: One more picture, guys. Me, with my family. My entire family.

Green: What about Dark Blue?

Purple: If he ever comes back... If he ever wants a relationship with me... I'll be there for him.

Yellow: I have a selfie stick. (He puts Purple's phone in his stick. Everyone gathers around, and Yellow takes the picture of Purple and his family)

Purple: We need to get this printed ASAP.

King: We will, I promise.

Green: When you do, send me a copy. I'd like to keep a picture and put it on my wall.

Blue: I think we all would.

King: You got it, fellas.

Purple: Thanks for the picture, guys. I know you probably should be going...

Red: Yeah, we probably should. But we will be back.

Yellow: 100%.

Green: Agreed.

Blue: For sure.

The Second Coming: You can't keep us away for long.

King: And I can't keep him away from you guys. Let's head home.

Back to Normal[]

(The seven of them head back to King's house)

King: I'm glad to have you back, Purple. Back to your normal self.

Purple: I'm glad to be back to normal, Dad. I must admit, I do not like myself in that depressed state.

Green: That's bound to happen at times, Purple.

Yellow: What's important is having people to help.

Blue: To help you to overcome. None of us can do it on our own.

Red: King is here for you, Purple, and we are here for you, too.

Purple: Thanks, Red. You really are a giant teddy bear.

Yellow: A "Reddy Bear," one might say.

The Second Coming: OK, that one was clever, Yellow.

Purple: (Laughs) C'mon, Reddy Bear. Bring it in. (Red's face turns hot pink once again)

Red: (shyly) Oh my gosh, you guys.

Blue: I think it suits him.

Green: I agree. He's soft and lovable, like a teddy.

King: And he punches hard, like a bear. I still remember when you socked me in the face.

Red: (chuckling) You mess with my friends, you get the teeth and claws. But, OK, Purple. I cannot resist a hug from a friend. (He embraces Purple briefly before releasing him)

Purple: Thanks, Reddy Bear. But, you guys probably must be going.

The Second Coming: (sadly) Yeah... We have to get back home.

Purple: Thank you guys for coming.

Green: Anything for you, bro.

King: We'll see you guys soon.

Stick Gang: Love you, guys! (They wave good-bye and hop down the trapdoor into the basement, taking the portal home)

Purple: We love you guys, too.

King: Well, Purple, have you been thinking about your punishment?

Purple: Honestly, Dad, yes. (He pulls out his elytra and hands it to King) I've broken your trust. I don't deserve these.

King: I appreciate your honesty and how you're owning up to it. That shows a lot of maturity. (He takes the elytra) I will hold on to these for a couple of weeks.

Purple: (sheepishly) And... Dad...

King: Apology accepted, Purple. I know if you were in your right mind, you would've never pulled this stunt.

Purple: I wouldn't have, I promise you that.

King: I know. After all the time we've shared, I know you inside and out. Now, how about I make some copies of those pictures you took?

Purple: I'd like that very much. (He hands King his phone)

King: I'll be back shortly. (He heads out to make the copies)

(King returns with several physical copies of both pictures, the one where they pranked TSC and the family photo they took more recently, as well as some frames)

King: I hope these brighten your day. I know they do for me. (He hands one of each to Purple)

Purple: Oh, these do. Can we send one to the guys?

King: Absolutely. Want to sign it or add a little message?

Purple: Yeah, that sounds perfect. (He signs and writes a note on the front of one picture. King does the same)

King: I can deliver it. It shouldn't take long.

Purple: I'd appreciate it, Dad. Thanks.

King: No problem. (He heads through the portal in his basement to the Nether and then through the Gang's portal) Huh, no one's here. Must be out adventuring. I'll leave this where they'll find it... along with a little something extra. (He adds some copies of both photos for the Gang to enjoy and sets them on their house. He takes a moment to admire it) Here's to our next adventure. (He salutes the house and flies back to his home)

A Kind Correspondence[]

(A little while later, the Gang returns from a quick round of sparring with each other)

Blue: That was fun, as always, fellas.

Red: Yes. I felt like I was on fire!

Green: You fought with fury, Reddy Bear. Must be where your "bear" nickname comes from.

The Second Coming: Even for sparring, that was wild.

Red: Was I too rough? I'm sorry, guys.

Yellow: Hey, no big deal, buddy. We love ya anyway.

The Second Coming: Hey, what's that on our house? (He runs over to investigate. The rest of them follow)

Yellow: It looks like a letter.

Green: (smartly) I told you guys, "Let me build a mailbox." But you all shot me down.

Blue: We weren't expecting to get mail, Green.

Red: Who's it from? And what's it say? (TSC opens the letter)

The Second Coming: It's... Photos of us, with King and Purple! (He shows his friends the physical selfies Purple took)

Green: I guess they wanted us to have these little mementos.

Yellow: They even signed them! Look! (He points out their signatures on one of the pictures)

Red: Awww, that's so heartwarming. And that picture of you, SC, with shaving cream all over you...

The Second Coming: You know, I kinda like it. It reminds me of the day before, a great day spent with my favorite people.

Green: Agreed. That was a great day.

Blue: Is there anything else in the letter?

The Second Coming: Actually, yes. (He pulls out a sheet of paper) It's a message from them.

Yellow: What's it say?

The Second Coming: (reading) "Dear Reddy Bear, SC, Yellow, Green, and Blue, thanks. Thank you guys for helping me with my latest adventure. It means a lot to me that you spent your time not only helping me out, but also hanging with me and my dad. It may not have turned out the way I was hoping, but I think it all worked out in the end. I learned who I am, and I cannot thank you five enough for putting me on the right track. You helped me find myself, and I cannot thank you guys enough. You came for me, and that means more to me than words can express. You are more my family than Dark Blue ever was, and for that, I am forever grateful. I am looking forward to our next adventure. Rainbow Squad forever! Your pal, Purple."

Blue: Rainbow Squad. I can get behind that nickname.

Red: And "Reddy Bear" has grown on me as well.

Green: I'm glad to hear Purple is doing well.

Yellow: Same here, buddy.

The Second Coming: (tearing up) He calls us his family.

Red: We are his family, aren't we, SC?

The Second Coming: For sure, Reddy Bear. And our bond with him--as well as each other--will never be broken.

Yellow: Wait... There's something else in that envelope. (TSC digs around in it once more)

The Second Coming: It's another letter, from King I'd imagine. (He unfolds it)

Blue: What does this one say?

The Second Coming: (reading) "Dear Stick Gang, I am writing to simply say, 'Thank you.' Thank you for being such a great friend to my son, and to me. Thank you for your forgiveness and acceptance as a friend, even after all I've done to you five. Thank you for saving me... from myself. If not for you, I would've been consumed in grief, rage, and the black hole I made. You sacrificed yourselves... for someone who has been nothing but antagonistic to you all. I truly don't deserve you in my life. I am so blessed, now living with Purple, now with you as friends, with a son. I started off wanting to avenge a son. I never knew I would end up with six more. I'm guessing Purple already wrote something like this, but if he hasn't, the both of us are excited for the next journey with you guys. I cannot express my gratitude enough for you fellas. Family forever! Your friend, former king, King Orange."

Red: If my heart wasn't melted already, it definitely has.

Yellow: Mine too, Red. (Green looks at the pictures)

Green: When he's not destroying Minecraft, he really is a great guy and a true father.

Blue: We need item frames. These letters and photos must be preserved.

The Second Coming: Get them away from me before I get these wet from tears.

Yellow: Need a Kleenex, SC?

The Second Coming: I need several... boxes. Thanks, buddy.

Yellow: I'll grab them. (He hurries off to get TSC some tissues)

Green: What a thoughtful gesture. We should do the same for them.

Blue: I agree, Green.

Red: Ooh! Let's send them a thank you note!

The Second Coming: Signed from all of us.

Yellow: I got the tissues, SC.

The Second Coming: Thanks. (He takes one and dries his eyes)

Yellow: Anyone else need some?

Red: Yep. (He takes one and blows his nose with it) Hey, Yellow, we are gonna write Purple and King a thank you note.

Yellow: That sounds ideal. I'm guessing we can all contribute.

Blue: Of course.

Green: I got some paper and envelopes.

The Second Coming: (collecting himself) I can write it on behalf of the five of us. I'd imagine our thoughts are similar enough to make it work, but if not, we can each add our contributions.

Red: We'll make it work. Can each of add a personalized ending?

The Second Coming: Of course. I'm sure they would appreciate it. (They get to work on the letter)

(After a little while, they finish with it, put it in the envelope and seal it)

Green: I can deliver it.

The Second Coming: We all will.

Red: Together! (The five of them head to the Nether and approach King's portal. Green enters it while his friends wait outside)

Green: (to himself) I hope you like this, guys. (He tapes the letter to the bottom trapdoor and leaves it open for Purple and King to see. He quickly and quietly returns to his friends) It's delivered, bros.

Yellow: Time to head home. (They take off on their elytra)

Blue: I wish I could see their reactions.

Red: Same here, but I've cried happy tears a lot for one day. (The others laugh)

The Second Coming: I think we all have, Reddy Bear. Are there any more in the tank?

Red: I'm not sure. Maybe.

Green: Oh, guys, I just remembered, I added something to the envelope.

Yellow: Oh really? What is that, Green?

Green: A message telling them to call us before opening it. I too want to see their expressions.

Blue: Thanks, Green. Nothing warms my heart more than seeing my friends happy. (They return home through their portal) Well, fellas, what do you guys want for dinner?

The Second Coming: Dinnertime already? Wow, this day got away from me.

Red: Surprise me, Blue. Your food is always excellent.

Yellow: Work your magic, buddy.

Green: But hold the Netherwarts.

Blue: Sounds good. I'll check my cookbook. I've been experimenting and returning to those villages for inspiration. Let's see what I can whip up for us.

The Second Coming: I'll be waiting with eager anticipation.

(Meanwhile, at King's house, King is almost done cooking some dinner for himself and Purple. He quickly goes to tell Purple about it and sees the open trapdoor)

King: Huh, did Purple leave the basement door open? (He inspects further and sees the letter taped on it) Hello, what is this? (He takes it and reads the writing on the envelope) It's from the guys. Call you before opening it? I can do you one better. (He puts the letter in his pocket and goes to Purple's room, knocking on the door) Purple?

Purple: You can come in, Dad. (King opens the door further)

King: Dinner will be ready in a couple of minutes. Could you... (Purple cuts him off, knowing what his dad will ask of him)

Purple: Set the table? Yeah, no problem.

King: Thanks, kiddo. Also, bring your computer. (This request confuses Purple greatly)

Purple: OK... That's new. Whatever happened to no electronics at the table? I always thought dinner was family time.

King: It still is, trust me. Let's just say, we'll be having guests. (Despite his confusion, Purple does as told. He sets his laptop up across from himself and his dad)

Purple: OK, Dad, it's set up.

King: Excellent. Thank you. (He reveals the envelope to him) By the way, I found this taped to the basement door. It's from the guys, and they want us to call them. I figured we could video call them.

Purple: Ooh, I would really like that. I'll call them right now. (He dials Green, who answers shortly after)

Green: Hello?

Purple: Hey, Green! It's Purple!

Green: Hey, Purple! Want me to put you on speaker?

Purple: One better. I have a video call set up. Do you guys have a laptop or something?

Green: Yeah, we can use Yellow's. (Yellow overhears this)

Yellow: I'll be back in a flash. (He goes to grab his computer)

Purple: I hope we didn't catch you at a bad time.

Green: No, not at all. Any time is a great time if spent with you. We are about to eat some dinner, Blue is cooking something for us.

Purple: Same over here. King is making something... edible, probably.

King: (playfully) Gee, thanks a lot, Purple.

Purple: I'm joking, Dad.

King: I know. (He laughs)

Yellow: I got it set up, Green. And, ooh, I got an email from Purple.

Green: Must be the video call.

Purple: It certainly is. (Yellow clicks it, and the video begins. Green hangs up the phone, now seeing and talking with Purple on the computer)

Yellow: There you guys are! Good to see you, as always.

Purple: Same here.

King: Hey, fellas. (He waves)

Green and Yellow: Hi, King!

King: Dinner's done, Purple. Help yourself.

Purple: Thanks, Dad. Mmm, it looks great.

Yellow: Blue is almost done with our dinner.

Green: (calling) SC! Reddy Bear! We got Purple on video call if you guys wanna say hi!

Red: (in the distance) "If"? (He races over. TSC follows) Hey, guys!

The Second Coming: Purple! King! Welcome to our home.

King: And welcome to ours.

Blue: Dinner is served! (He gives everyone a plate of food, finally noticing Purple and King. Everyone sits at their respective tables) Hey, guys!

Purple: Good to see ya, Blue. Did you get our letter?

The Second Coming: Yes we did. Did you get ours?

King: Yeah. We haven't opened it yet, as requested.

Purple: Can I open it now?

King: Absolutely, kiddo. (Purple eagerly opens the envelope and reveals the Gang's letter)

Purple: (reading) "Dear Purple and King, we got your letter and photos and just wanted to say thank you. Thanks for your hospitality and these reminders of what turned out to be a great day spent with you both. We will cherish them greatly. We're sorry you never got to re-meet your birth dad, Purple, but we are happy to see you are doing well regardless. We are honored to be called a part of your family. Just know that you are also a part of ours. From all of us, we love you guys." It looks like you each signed it. "Keep singing your song, Green. Don't stop growing, Blue. 100% brothers, Yellow. Lots of love, Reddy Bear. To our next adventure, SC." Thanks, guys. That means a lot.

King: Indeed, thank you.

The Second Coming: Our pleasure. Thank you for the pictures again.

Purple: No problem.

Blue: There is nothing like a family photo.

King: Well... we're missing one... (He glances over at the picture of Gold on the shelf)

Purple: You're missing Gold, aren't you?

King: Like I said, there isn't a day when he doesn't come to mind.

Purple: I know. I think of my parents a lot...

King and Purple: (to each other, in unison) But then I see you. (Everyone pauses. The fact that they said the same thing at the same time caught everyone off-guard. No one knows how to react, but King and Purple start to smile)

Purple: We just said the same thing...

King: At the same time. (They laugh. The Gang does as well)

The Second Coming: You two were made for each other.

King: We really were.

Purple: Hey, Dad, what you said at the cemetery, about me being everything you could ask for, did you really mean that?

King: Of course I did. I wouldn't have said it if it wasn't true.

Purple: That means more than I can express. All my life I was told I wasn't good enough, especially by Dark Blue...

King: You will always be enough for me, Purple. If anyone tells you otherwise, don't believe the lie.

Green: Never forget, buddy, you are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Red: Your bonds are broken, Purple.

Yellow: You are free from your past mistakes.

Blue: And now... you are redeemed.

Purple: Thanks to you all. My family.

The Second Coming: A toast, to our family. (He raises his bucket of milk. Everyone else raises their respective glasses)

All: To our family! (They clink their glasses and dig into their food, laughing, joking, and cherishing their time together. After a while, they sign off, eagerly awaiting for whatever adventure comes their way)
