Creation[]
While trying to fend off The Chosen One, noogai3 pulled up Adobe Flash and drew a red stick figure. He was trying to think of a name for him, starting off with "The Chosen One's enemy," but then decided to name it The Dark Lord. He typed mission.The_Dark_Lord = destroy(The_Chosen_One); and thus The Dark Lord was placed into battle and attacked his opponent. He initially started to overwhelm The Chosen One with his greater abilities and strength, but was outsmarted and forced into a window of Solitaire. They battled in it shortly, but Noogai intervened by placing the duo above the window, with The Dark Lord near the computer programs.
While The Chosen One remained solitary in a battle stance, The Dark Lord sought the support of his newly formed allies among the computer, including AIM and Firefox. However, their efforts were in vain as The Chosen One bested most of them, and blew the rest up, including his main adversary, in Minesweeper. Weakened, in a corner, and begging for mercy from The Chosen One, he saw that his creator didn't care if he died or not and continued to play Solitaire. Angered by his betrayal and ignorance, The Dark Lord agrees to aid The Chosen One and destroyed the computer with a singularity, destroying the operating system and initiating a blue screen of death.
Reign of Terrorism[]
The Flashback - Animator vs. Animation 7 and Beta - AVM Shorts Episode 0[]
Chosen and Dark escaped the collapsing computer, and from there, the two friends went on a rampage across the Internet, destroying things like Yahoo! and Angry Birds before crashing into a Minecraft world. Seeing this new world, the two sticks promptly tried to destroy it, flying overhead and sending fireballs and lasers to the Overworld below them. They landed among a flock of sheep, killing them, and Dark flew off to continue his destruction. Chosen, however, remained behind to build a small structure. Dark summoned a fireball to destroy it, and while Chosen was protective at first, he complied. Dark wrecked it and flew off, not noticing a floating piece of dirt in his flight path.
He crashed into the dirt block, causing him to eventually bounce through a Nether portal and enter the hellish environment. He landed into a pool of lava, and after extinguishing his flames, he noticed the mobs around him and a ghast shooting fireballs at him. Laughing maniacally, he began destroying the Nether as well, roasting a ghast like a marshmallow and killing a horde of zombie pigmen, erupting in a fiery explosion, destroying everything around him.
A while later, Dark returned to Chosen, a pile of golden swords in his arms from the slaughtering the pigmen, and took off for the portal they entered. Dark's experience in the Nether only increased his bloodlust, and he eagerly leapt through the portal, Chosen reluctantly followed. From there, Dark took the lead in their destruction, terrorizing Newgrounds and Stick Page while Chosen seemingly went along with it, albeit more and more reluctantly.
Seven years after their initial wave of destruction, The Dark Lord created a powerful virus, known as the ViraBot, which held corrosive properties and sentience, and loaded it into a cannon, locking in and aiming at Alan Becker's IP address, which stores the gateway to his computer. Still full of rage and holding a grudge against his creator, The Dark Lord attempted to fire the cannon but was stopped by The Chosen One. Confused, The Dark Lord continued trying to press the trigger button but was stopped and eventually thrown back by his friend. Angered, The Dark Lord started a short but vicious duel against his former ally and though he was defeated, The Dark Lord managed to fire the cannon. He was blasted away and sent hurtling into the distance from an energy-amplified punch from The Chosen One.
Duel with Chosen and Friends[]
After being blasted away by The Chosen One from their home, he moved to a different base, of which he had constructed five years before, and continued with his plan to release ViraBots into major internet sites. After he was ambushed by The Chosen One, he fought back and began to overpower him, flinging him through internet sites and gaining the upper hand despite initially being overwhelmed and going on the defensive.
After temporarily knocking The Chosen One out of the fight with a powerful move that involved hitting him with a giant fireball, then hitting him into the water, he returned to his base of operations, and attached the Wristband of Power to his arm. He then dived towards The Chosen One, overpowering him greatly and thrashing him around. Before he could kill him, noogai3's cursor appeared in their world, being summoned by Yellow, and The Dark Lord was forced to fight the combined might of noogai3's cursor and The Chosen One working together. After a while of fighting the duo, he released his ViraBot army and sent them at his adversaries. With his viruses and his own corrosive blades, he managed to disconnect the cursor after a fierce battle.
Overwhelming and pinning The Chosen One down, he was about to strike the final blow when The Second Coming and the Fighting Stick Figures appeared. Unimpressed by their weaker strength, he sadistically killed Red, followed by Green, Blue and Yellow, dissolving them into nothing. When it came to The Second Coming, he was surprised by his greater strength and resilience but, nonetheless, he rapidly slashed him and threw his body into a cliffside before stabbing him simultaneously with his blades, seemingly killing the orange stick figure. Satisfied, he sent his ViraBots into portals leading to the internet, finally ready to enact his plan.
The Second Coming awakens, and managed to destroy the majority of The Dark Lord's ViraBots in a single strike, before engaging The Dark Lord in a final duel. Unable to fend off the Second Coming's new abilities, and with no more allies to assist him, The Dark Lord was blasted away into a mountainside by The Second Coming's powerful green laser vision, completely engulfed in a massive explosion, killing him instantly.
Rebuilt and Reborn[]
Hacker[]
After his defeat at the lasers of the awakened Second Coming, The Dark Lord was fractured into pieces. However, several surviving ViraBots pieced him together, and along with becoming infused with his wristbands, he found life once again. A ViraBot pointed out Chosen's Wanted poster to him, and Dark watched the creation of Rocket Corp. from a distance. When he appeared, he applauded victim's, now H4CK3R's, destruction, and sat next to him, laughing. He pulled H4CK3R close and suggested that they team up. He showed off his new skills and told H4CK3R that he had the power to revive Mitsi. H4CK3R wondered if it was real and Dark confirmed this. All the gray stick had to do was to take his hand and join him. After a moment, H4CK3R powered up and reached for Dark's hand.
Cameos and Flashbacks[]
Save for his short appearance in "Hacker", The Dark Lord has never been directly shown since his defeat in "The Showdown." Instead, all of his appearances have been flashbacks and memories of other characters.
Animator vs. Animation Season 3[]

As The Chosen One flies away from the Mercenaries and towards the cliffside where "The Showdown" took place, he remembers how The Second Coming defeated The Dark Lord. This memory is depicted via a semi-transparent vision.
The Box - Animator vs. Animation 10[]
victim and the mercenaries use a memory scanner to forcibly search through The Chosen One's memories, and it projects his perspective of The Dark Lord being defeated by The Second Coming and his awakened powers, which greatly shocks victim and company, and even The Second Coming himself, who does not remember the incident. The mercenaries then scroll further back, showing a short moment of the ViraBots being released, and The Dark Lord punching The Chosen One and throwing him into the water as Alan's cursor was being created by Yellow.
Victim - Animator vs. Animation 11[]
During The Disintegration, The Chosen One lands on the Newgrounds tank, where The Dark Lord is waiting. They share a high-five.
