Skellington is a normal skeleton, although throughout Season 3, he wears a yellow headband.
History[]
Animation vs. Minecraft Shorts Season 3[]
Monster School[]
Skellington is seen when Red falls into the titular location, first ignoring his existence and talking with Zombee and Creep. During the Sneaking lesson, he tries and pathetically fails to shoot the Steve clone, resulting in his death and revival, only for Blaise to then taunt him once she manages to kill the clone. A few minutes later, Red is punched by an enraged Endie and send flying into Skellington, who then pushes him onto Spider, causing hostility between them and the stick figure. Once it's Red's turn, Skellington laughs at Spider tripping Red. He would then constantly bully Red throughout the episode, either laughing at his misery or sabotaging him himself.
On the final exam, the Team Race, Skellington is grouped into the Yellow Team with Red, Endie and Spider. While Red plans on ditching them, he takes pity on them after seeing how weak they are and saves them, but they remain ungrateful. Afterwards, the team across a group of Steve clones flying on elytras, and Endie orders Skellington to shoot them down. After seeing how poor the skeleton's aim is, Red flips the bow backwards, suddenly turning him into an expert archer (the explanation being he's "backwards-handed"). He immediately shoots down the clones and high fives Endie and Spider, but refuses to acknowledge Red did anything.
Once Red improves Endie and Spider's skills, the Yellow Team attacks the Orange Team. Skellington shoots Zombee several times before Red kicks him off Ghist, and then proceeds to shoot at Mucus and Zupay: Mucus is hit and falls into the lake below, while Zupay dodges all the arrows but accidentally falls off Ghist anyway. When moving on to the Green and Blue Teams, Skellington's arrows are reflected by Witton and Blaise, respectively, forcing his teammates to defeat them themselves.
The Yellow Team begins climbing up the mountain, but Red gets jumped by all the students, who start beating him up. He orders his teammates to go on without him, and they do as ordered, though they suddenly stop, realising how ungrateful they were. The trio then saves Red and protects him from the other students: Skellington first shoots at Witton (who once again reflects all the arrows, forcing Spider to do something) before shooting and killing Zombieswine. They then start chasing the Blue Team, who decided to flee while they have the chance: Endie throws Skellington straight at Blaise, reflecting her fireballs back at her, knocking out her and her teammates. He then taunts her the same way she did earlier.
After receiving their prize, the Yellow Team escapes from Herobrine and enter the Nether Portal above the school. In the Nether, they see King Orange fighting and defeating The Second Coming and the Warden, and intervene to stop the king from getting his staff. Throughout the fight, Skellington tries and fails to shoot the king, at least until Red uses a netherite-powered staff to send him flying away. They begin to celebrate their victory, but are interrupted once King Orange appears right before them, now holding two Minecraft Game Icons.
The Raid[]
King Orange uses the Game Icons to make Dark Mobs: shadowy, evil clones of the Warden and the Yellow Team who are equal to the real deals in power. This proves too much for the heroes, and just as King Orange gets his hands on his staff, he is interrupted by Yellow, Blue and the medium-sized Titan Ravager they tamed. The fight continues, Skellington once again trying and failing to land a hit on the king, at least until King Orange has enough. After managing to get his staff back, he spawns a dozen Dark Mobs, with Skellington helping Blue in attacking a Dark Warden. He then merges the two Game Icons into one combined icon before launching a gigantic black hole to destroy all of Minecraft.
Note Block Universe[]
Skellington cameos in the upgraded version of the episode, staring in shock at Purple arriving and smacking King Orange.
The King[]
After helping the Warden defeat some Dark Mobs off-screen, Skellington joins the heroes in cornering King Orange, ready to shoot him if he does anything. However, he manages to get his hands on Yellow's staff and attacks everyone, Skellington once again trying to shoot him. Once King Orange manages to get his staff back from Purple, he makes a gigantic Dark Mob hybrid before attacking the heroes with an obsidian-mountain. Skellington is send flying into the air, right into the hands of Herobrine, who has went to the Nether to find his students. He is ordered to go back to the Monster School, and he angrily points out Endie and Spider are in danger, not willing to leave his friends to die. Herobrine, enraged someone is trying to kill his students, confronts King Orange in an intense battle, though he ultimately has to possess Red so he could continue fighting.
While Red/Herobrine is busy, Skellington aids Blue, Yellow and the Titan Ravager in charging at King Orange, but it backfires horribly once the king absorbs the Ravager and then grabs the skeleton so he won't get away. Skellington spitefully shoots him, refusing to give up, and is ultimately absorbed into the staff. Endie and Spider stare in shock at their friend's death as Herobrine continues fighting King Orange: all three, as well as the Warden, ultimately join him and are absorbed.
At the end of the episode, the Second Coming saves everyone and manages to undo King Orange's actions by throwing the Combined Game Icon into a Nether portal, reviving Skellington and his friends. He watches as King Orange redeems himself and apologizes before saying his goodbyes to Red, and then greeting the Warden as a new classmate. Herobrine then teleports himself and his four students back to the Monster School, where they continue life as normal.
Animation vs. Minecraft Shorts Season 4[]
Note Block Concert[]
Skellington can briefly be seen near his fellow students when the rest of the audience is attacked by Silverfish and looks back at Silvester when he digs away.
Actual Shorts Season 1[]
Fireworks[]
Skellington is represented by a firework, alongside Endie and Spider.
Rainstorm[]
Skellington waves goodbye to Endie before talking to Spider in the rain. Once Red approaches them, he shows them Endie with his umbrella and the four all cheer. Skellington appears to show little (if any) concern once Endie's umbrella and Red are struck by lightning and Endie takes damage.

Personality & Traits[]
Skellington was originally a large, spiteful jerk who bullied Red over a minor grudge and was insecure about his bad aim, though he manages to develop into a better person later on. Despite this, he's still not perfect, remaining pretty aggressive (attacking King Orange more than his friends did), petty (taunting Blaise the same way he was taunted later on), and defiant (fighting King Orange even in his last moments). This doesn't change the fact he's ultimately a very loyal friend not willing to leave anyone behind or take the easy way out when offered, continuing to fight King Orange despite having the option to escape to safety.
Powers & Abilities[]
- Teamwork - Skellington is very good while working in a team, constantly helping out his allies.
- Archery - Upon realizing his backwards-handedness, Skellington becomes an expert archer who is pretty fast at firing arrows.
- Durability - There is no attack that can put down Skellington for long: he's been stabbed and kicked, hit with a few netherite blocks and send flying into the air by a bunch of obsidian, but he always quickly recovers and continues fighting.
- Expert chef - As proven by his A+ at Cooking, Skellington is amazing at cooking, though that's not seen on-screen.
Trivia[]
- Excluding the fact he's much meaner than he was in the Willcraft videos, he is a pretty accurate adaptation of the original Skellington, being a master chef but garbage archer who is best friends with Spider.
