Purple's elytra was his signature item he had in Animation vs. Minecraft Shorts.

History

The End - AVM Shorts Episode 10

Purple finds the elytra in the End Ship he and Blue entered to catch up with the Ender Dragon. He used it to fly through the void, abandoning the others.

Parkour - AVM Shorts Episode 22

Purple uses it to fly across the course, so he could get out.

The Ultimate Weapon - AVM Shorts Episode 25

Purple puts it on to fight The Second Coming and Red. It later gets stuck to Green's fishing rod, leading to Green having it until Note Block Universe, where he gives it back to Purple.

Note Block Universe - AVM Shorts Episode 29

To chase Purple, Green uses his elytra to take a huge leap towards Purple, before getting to the top of the mountain with him, listening to his story. After that happens, he gives the elytra back to Purple, who flies them both back to the portal and fights King Orange.

The King - AVM Shorts Episode 30

During his backstory, Purple shows off some moves to King Orange. When he's not impressed, he ups his game by putting on his elytra and flies around. King is sufficiently impressed and allows Purple inside.

Later on, Purple uses his elytra to fight King Orange, but after flying towards him in one last attempt to stop him, it disintegrates.

Cherry Blossoms - An Actual Short

He picks some cherry blossoms in Minecraft, before returning to the Outernet and giving them to his mother's tombstone.

Too Close to the Sun - An Actual Short

Purple is flying in his elytra, as all the members of the Stick Gang try to catch up to him and fail.

• Red flies on a bee that he is leading with a carrot, but gets knocked out of the way by Yellow.
• Yellow flies on his staff, but has a malfunction and falls.
• Blue has a redstone contraption that he uses to move in the air, but the lever that he uses to operate it breaks off.
• Green does a TNT jump, but he falls and dies of fall damage.
• The Second Coming flies up with the Minecraft Game Icon, but he celebrates and it flies out of his hand. He panics as he falls.

Purple continues flying the entire time.

Hardcore Manhunt - AVM Shorts Episode 37

Purple attempts to use it to carry the Stick Gang and fly out of a dripstone cave, but he runs out of fireworks. He then tries flapping his Elytra rapidly, which causes the durability to drain faster than it could fly.

During Yellow's work time, Purple flies on his elytra outside with a firework, cheering before flying offscreen.

• Purple is incredibly reliant on the elytra, as he has used it and its fireworks in combat more than he used his sword in combat (0 times).
