Newgrounds is a massive metropolitan realm in the Internet, organized as the main foundation of buildings as storage for animations from creators. It is a platform where animators can upload their work, mainly from Flash, and is the source of many residents output from these animations and enter the Outernet.
It became the center of animations to be displayed by hundreds of aspiring animators worldwide for years, but then, in 2011, the website was thrown into chaos and was attacked under the hands of The Chosen One and The Dark Lord.
History[]
Introduction[]
Newgrounds was established on July 6th, 1995. Ever since its creation, it has become highly populated with animations, and became the host website where Stick Figures could be uploaded to. Their identities currently live in the Internet, while their source lies on Newgrounds for users to watch and interact with.
Arrival of victim[]
On March 15th, 2007, victim managed to escape ALANSPC and journeyed through the tubes of the internet through his rocket. He travelled alongside the soul of Mitsi, before entering Newgrounds. Stick figure animations were saved in buildings, including Mitsi's, and victim followed her into the Outernet. Eventually, due to the victim's unexpected entry to the shell of the realm, it burst into many more tubes, one of which became a portal that connected Newgrounds, the rest are to the cubes, including ALANSPC, and the other realms, such as YouTube, Facebook, Google and Wikipedia (which explains how The Dark Lord was able to access them through circular doors).
TCO and TDL's Wrath on the Internet and the Battle of Newgrounds[]
Four years of living in the Outernet, he and Mitsi had been leading an organization called Rocket Corp., but at that same time, The Chosen One and The Dark Lord survived the blue screen of death of ALANSPC, managing to escape through a tear on the desktop.
Once escaping, they both realized that they were now free and could do whatever they want. As such, the two would launch attacks on several websites across the internet, causing the destruction of several notable websites.
Once most of their target websites had been ravaged, the pair would end their wrath on Newgrounds. On 2011, TCO and TDL would launch an attack on Newgrounds, causing the website to be unexpectedly attacked and destroyed.
These animations were deleted, which caused several Outernet residents, including Mitsi and Agent, to zap out of the Outernet and return to Newgrounds, which was now a catastrophic battlefield. Endless exchange of fire occured between the enemy stick figures and the tanks took over, with many stick figures, non–stick figure characters, as well as Mitsi, being killed by the explosion of fireballs. Only Agent and a few other residents managed to escape Newgrounds through an accessible portal and returned to the Outernet, bruised and injured.
In the aftermath, The Dark Lord and The Chosen One dominated the entire foundation of Newgrounds, leading to many refugees, missing residents and even demised animations circling around them, it was even possible that the tank members surrendered to them, allowing them access to the Outernet, to once again, cause another outbreak.
Future[]
It is unknown what the current fate is for Newgrounds, but it can be assumed that it would take ages for it to recover from the damages caused by The Chosen One and The Dark Lord.
Trivia[]
- It is theorized that Newgrounds is somehow connected to The Second Coming, due to it having the Green Life Particles, which looks exactly like The Second Coming's green particles when his powers awaken.
- On October 25th, 2011, Newgrounds crashed in real life, only 23 days after The Chosen One and The Dark Lord escaped ALANSPC, and some at the time believed that the destruction of Newgrounds made by the two in-series is that same crash. However, the actual crash was caused by the Homestuck Cascade Page and the two events have nothing alike, making this date and event merely a coincidence.
