“The creative block looks just like a normal grass block. That's why it can easily be mistaken. When used to generate blocks, it changes its appearance to the block or item that is currently being created/used.” — Minecraft Mysteries Book, The King - AVM Shorts Episode 30 |
The Minecraft Game Icon[1], also known as the Minecraft Cube[2] is the block of Minecraft itself which contains the game's entire codebase. It was discovered in Animation vs. Minecraft and is the catalyst behind both the original Animation vs. Minecraft and its succeeding series of shorts.
Wielders[]
- The Second Coming: He was the very first entity to use the Minecraft game icon after stepping on it in the taskbar by accident. He used it to build a house and gave it to his friends. He later threw it in the Recycle Bin to prevent Red (possessed by Herobrine) from getting it. He got it once again in "The Rediscovery" on the start button and in "The Ultimate Weapon" after stealing Alexcrafter28's Minecraft game icon to defeat King Orange. He lost it after the two Minecraft game icons of his and King Orange's collided with each other in King's black hole, which created an explosion that blew the Minecraft game icon away from him. He and the Fighting Stick Figures then escorted the Fused Minecraft game icons through the Nether and back to ALANSPC to reverse King Orange's vortex.
- Green: The second entity to hold the Minecraft game icon. He built a windmill using it. Blue snatched it from him after using it. He used it again in "The Rediscovery" given by The Second Coming to get his desired items. He and his friends then escorted the Fused Minecraft game icons through the Nether and back to ALANSPC to reverse King Orange's vortex.
- Blue: The third entity to hold the Minecraft game icon. He got it by snatching it from Green and used it to plant and grow saplings and crops. He used it again in "The Rediscovery" to get his desired items. He and his friends then escorted the Fused Minecraft game icons through the Nether and back to ALANSPC to reverse King Orange's vortex.
- Yellow: The fourth entity to hold the Minecraft game icon. He built a beacon using it. It was snatched by Red after he attacked him. He used it again in "The Rediscovery" to get his desired items. He used it once again in "Command Blocks" to get undiscovered/unobtainable items. He and his friends then escorted the Fused Minecraft game icons through the Nether and back to ALANSPC to reverse King Orange's vortex.
- Herobrine: The fifth entity to possess it. Herobrine took hold of the Minecraft game icon during Animation vs. Minecraft while possessing Red. Herobrine used Red to try and defeat Yellow, Green, Blue, and The Second Coming. Herobrine ended up being defeated when the Minecraft game icon was put into the Recycle Bin.
- Red: The sixth entity to hold the Minecraft game icon. Right before taking the Minecraft game icon from Yellow, he was possessed by Herobrine and attacked his friends who tried to take it away from him. It is shown that Red is very powerful when holding the Minecraft game icon as he is able to place blocks with increased range compared to the other stick figures. He built the MegaStick using the Minecraft game icon. He held it properly in "The Rediscovery", as his friends built machines to attack him to prevent him from rampaging, in fear that Herobrine would possess him again. Red pranked them by pretending to be possessed and about to spawn harmful mobs, but instead spawned bunnies. In "The Ultimate Weapon," he took hold of the Minecraft game icon to prevent Purple from taking it. He and his friends then escorted the Fused Minecraft game icons through the Nether and back to ALANSPC to reverse King Orange's vortex.
- Purple: The seventh entity to possess it. He took hold of the Game Icon after stealing it from ALANSPC. He struggled to take the block to King Orange after Red chased him to get the Game Icon back. While the Minecraft game icon was in his hand, he entered the portal, which caused Minecraft to be temporarily inaccessible by the Stick Figures from ALANSPC. The items and inventories of Green, Blue and Yellow, and the Heroic Pig disappeared out of thin air due to the Minecraft game icon being taken from ALANSPC. Purple then gave it to King Orange for his plans who placed it in his Staff. At the end of "Note Block Universe" and after the flashback in "The King," Purple temporarily wielded two fused Minecraft game icons in King Orange's Staff after he punched King Orange and grabbed it.
- King Orange: The ninth entity to possess it. He first took hold of Noogai3's Game Icon given to him by Purple. His plan was to steal it from ALANSPC and place it in his staff to use its power to destroy Minecraft. He used the Game Icon in his fight against The Second Coming. He created arrows, fire charges, obsidian, explosions and a black hole with the Game Icon. He lost possession of it after his and The Second Coming's Minecraft game icons touched while in the black hole, creating a huge explosion that blew the Minecraft game icon out of his staff. He retrieved it back at the end of "The Warden" and used it to overwhelm The Second Coming and the Warden in combat. Just before he could place it in his Staff, the Staff was stolen by Red's allies. He used the Game Icon to fight all of them but was overwhelmed and blasted away by Red possessing a netherite block in the Staff. He obtained the second Minecraft game icon later and fused it with the first after a battle with the Medium-sized Titan Ravager, Blue and Yellow, making it more powerful. King Orange retrieved his staff again with the Fused Minecraft game icon from Purple during the events of "The Ultimate Weapon."
Powers & Abilities[]
“This block holds the entirety of Minecraft. Any player or entity that holds the block would have the following benefits: - Creative Mode, which comes with the ability to fly, and complete protection from death. This mode cannot be disabled with commands because the block has a priority against commands. - The ability to rapidly create, destroy or move the structure of almost any block. - The ability to spawn any existing mob in Minecraft.” — The power section in the Minecraft Mysteries book of Minecraft game icon, The King - AVM Shorts Episode 30 |
Minecraft game icon[]
The Minecraft game icon is a very powerful tool, being useful in any situation such as combat, building, and travel. With the properties of holding the entire codebase of Minecraft, and granting the user invincibility, the Minecraft game icon is understandably sought after by beings who require the highest power in the game. Below is the list of abilities for a single Game Icon:
- Anything Minecraft-ly Imaginable: Even with just a single Minecraft game icon, the user is able to do anything Minecraft-ly imaginable. Prominent abilities are listed below.
- Creative Mode: The Minecraft game icon grants the user Creative Mode, which grants them:
- Extreme Strength: Creative Mode highly increases the user's strength, so much so that they can block and punch through hard blocks such as obsidian.
- Nigh-Invincibility: Creative Mode makes the user basically invincible, meaning they cannot take damage from any attack, including non-Minecraft ones. This also means they cannot be affected by commands. This is stated in the Minecraft Mysteries book.
- Flight: With Creative Mode, the user has the ability to fly at high speeds and levitate.
- Block Manipulation: Creative Mode allows the user to quickly manipulate large amounts of any block into structures, projectiles and more.
- Giant Weapons: By manipulating blocks in a certain way, the user can create large swords, bows, and more out of any block.
- Items, Effects & Commands: Using Creative Mode, the user has the ability to use anything from Minecraft at their disposal, which includes items, such as fire charges and arrows, effects, such as slowness and strength, and commands, such as /tp and /generic.shield. This also includes lightning bolts and enchantments for weapons.
- Dark Mobs: Related to the ability to summon mobs, the user can create dark mimics of Minecraft mobs. This is seen when King Orange creates dark versions of the Warden, Monster School mobs and the medium-sized Titan Ravager. Note that the user can make the mobs any color they want, but the Dark Mobs were black due to the aura of Noogai's Game Icon being turned black by the staff.
- Creative Mode: The Minecraft game icon grants the user Creative Mode, which grants them:
- Lightning: The Minecraft game icon is able to cast non-Minecraft lightning from it. This is seen when King Orange summons Dark Mobs, hits Purple with his Staff in "The Ultimate Weapon", and when King Orange summons projectiles in the Real Time version of the same episode.
- Black Hole: Harnessing the Game Icon with a staff, the user can create black holes capable of removing the entire game from existence.
“A black hole is a region of spacetime where gravity is so strong that nothing - no particles or even electromagnetic radiation such as light - can escape from it. The theory of general relativity predicts that a sufficiency compact mass can deform spacetime to form a black hole. The boundary of no escape is called the event horizon. Although it has a great effect on the fate and circumstances of an object crossing it, it has no locally detectable features according to general relativity. In many ways, a black hole acts like an ideal black body, as it reflects no light. Moreover, quantum field theory in curved spacetime predicts that event horizons emit Hawking radiation, with the same spectrum as a black body of a temperature inversely proportional to its mass. While the mass of a black hole can take any positive value, the charge and angular momentum are constrained by the mass. The total electric charge Q and the total angular momentum J are expected to satisfy. The no-hair theorem postulates that once it achieves a stable condition after formation, a black hole has only three independent physical properties: mass, electric charge, and angular momentum; the black hole is otherwise featureless. If the conjecture is true, any two black holes that share the same values for the properties, or parameters, are indistinguishable from one another. The degree to which the conjecture is true for real black holes under the laws of modern physics is currently an unsolved problem. These properties are special because they are visible from outside a black hole. For example, a charged black hole repels other like charges just like any other charged object. Similarly, the total mass inside a sphere containing a black hole can be found by using the gravitational analog of Gauss's law (through the ADM mass), far away from the black hole. Likewise, the angular momentum (or spin) can be measured from far away using frame dragging by the gravitomagnetic field, through for example the Lense-Thirring effect.” — The "Black hole" section in a book, The King - AVM Shorts Episode 30 |
A regular Minecraft game icon is white, as it is the default and unaltered block that you can find on a desktop. A Minecraft game icon turns black when it is placed in any staff. Any two Minecraft game icons can be fused to create the Fused Minecraft game icon, which exponentially increases its power and makes the Game Icon unstable.
Fused Minecraft game icon[]
Combination with another Minecraft game icon: Fusing two Minecraft game icons together creates a black-and-white pulsating tesseract aura and greatly enhances all powers of both Minecraft game icons:
- Greater Strength/Speed: Wielding the fused Minecraft game icon grants the user greater strength and speed than with a single Game Icon. It may also grant the user a higher endurance against non-Minecraft attackers.
- Stronger & Faster Block Manipulation: The user can create block formations on a far more powerful and faster scale, such as massive obsidian spikes, bedrock, and netherrack boulders.[3]
- Short-Range Telekinesis: This only works when wielding two Minecraft game icons; separate or not. The wielder can use telekinesis to pull objects, entities and items and suspend them near the wielder.
- Entity Fusion: Deriving from the Dark Mob ability, entity fusion fuses several mobs together in its darkened form. King Orange used this ability to create a Dark Titan Ravager Warden hybrid, also known as the Abomination.
- Faster Projectile Control: Deriving from the projectile ability, the projectiles move at a much higher speed, and can be summoned in much greater quantities quickly. King Orange summons a few dozen fast-moving fire charges, as shown during his duel with Herobrine.
- Instant Command Execution: Deriving from the command ability, it instantly executes a command. During the battle between King Orange and the Stick Gang, along with their in game allies, King Orange was able to instantly create a white, transparent shield around himself that protected him from projectiles, which is a command.
- Dark Matter Lightning: Deriving from the lightning ability, dark matter lightning is much stronger than lightning from a single Minecraft game icon. Purple used this ability to instantly destroy all the Dark Mobs pinning down the other stick figures (other than the Titan Ravager).
- Vortex: Deriving from the black hole ability, and powered by a staff, the fused Minecraft game icon can create a significantly larger black hole/vortex. This enhanced singularity destroys the terrain around it much faster. Its color changes drastically as it swells, starting from black, then gray, brown, yellow, and finally, white. Also unlike the Black Hole, which is the predecessor ability, it has an inside which is an empty white void. However, it isn’t completely empty as within it the memories of people can project themselves and become physical, for example when King Orange’s house materialized before him inside of the void. It also can delete the entirety of Minecraft similar to the Black Hole.
- Vortex Beam: Powered by a staff, the fused Minecraft game icon can fire a powerful beam that supercharges the vortex, making it obliterate blocks and can even damage or destroy stick figures and their code, causing them to glitch and dissolve. Once this beam is firing, the fused Minecraft game icon can seemingly no longer be removed from the staff. The only way to reverse the beam's effects is to bring the staff with the fused Minecraft game icon through the same Nether portal it came out of entering the Nether. That way, all terrain and entities that were sucked in are restored.
Trivia[]
- A Minecraft game icon is located on every desktop with Minecraft installed.
- Before its official name in the series was widely known, it was commonly referred to by fans as the "Master Block."
