Mario is a character from Animation vs. Super Mario Bros. He makes a cameo appearance in The Showdown, appearing on a thumbnail for "Animation vs. Super Mario Bros".
History[]
Animation vs. Super Mario Bros[]
Mario (who originates from the original Super Mario Bros.) is shown to have come from the Nintendo Switch Online - Nintendo Entertainment System app on the Animator's Nintendo Switch.
During the title screen demo, Mario meets The Second Coming after the latter curiously wanders into the game and unintentionally interferes with the demo. The Second Coming attempts to introduce himself, but causes Super Mario to power down to Small Mario after The Second Coming touched him. Ultimately, the whole ordeal leads to The Second Coming accidentally consuming a Super Mushroom that was meant for Mario. Angered, Mario attacks The Second Coming by stomping on him and attempting to kick a Koopa Troopa shell into The Second Coming.
Eventually, Both Mario and The Second Coming leave the game and return to the app's main menu. Here, Mario teams up with two future versions of himself from Super Mario Bros. 2 and Super Mario Bros. 3. The three Marios attack The Second Coming, who in turn flees back into Alan's PC. The Marios follow The Second Coming into the computer, where the Fighting Stick Figures are ready to come to The Second Coming's defense.
After a brief fight, the original Mario goes back into the Nintendo Switch annd dumps items and enemies from the aformentioned Super Mario games into the desktop in order to overwhelm the stick figures. Eventually, the other two versions of Mario befriend the stick figures after the latter realize how incredible the various items from each of their games are, and they all make a course out of the various Mario-related objects and enemies lying around the desktop. At first, the original Mario doesn't approve of this, but he joins when he is offered a Super Mushroom by The Second Coming.

When The Chosen One and The Dark Lord are fighting on the YouTube page for The Showdown, Mario can be seen on the thumbnail for Animation vs. Super Mario Bros.
