That guy, what level is he?
programmer021 to noogai3, Animator vs. Animation 2

In the Animator vs. Animation Series prior to the fourth installment, any stick figure created in Flash by at least noogai3 or an unknown person associated with programmer021 needs to be converted to a symbol in order for it to gain life. Once the stick figure gains the title, they are permanently attached to it, which makes them regain their memories if they ever died, or needed to be recreated, unless they somehow exit out of the PC. programmer021 refers to the "symbol" as a level; the various levels define the power and strength of a stick figure. In other words, the stick figure's name can determine its strength.

According to programmer021, naming a stick figure with a title such as The Chosen One is "suicide," implying that's one of the most dangerous titles, which can represent a high risk to the computer, like a malware. Creating two or more high titles can cause crashing of various apps and even death of the PC (although automatic hostility is not confirmed, given the behavior of victim and The Dark Lord prior to being "programmed" by noogai).

During the events of Hacker, it's been proven possible to rename a stick figure and thus change their level. This was accomplished by victim and Agent tricking Alan into thinking he was helping Yellow by renaming the symbol of a gray window. Alan was supicious when he saw the word "victim" but due to a fake countdown timer, he complied with it and changed the title to "H4CK3R", thus granting victim new powers and the ability to tame the cursor.

Using this power, he was also able to force Alan's cursor to allow him to change The Chosen One's level to "NO ONE", thus erasing all of the black stick figure's powers and making him as weak, if not weaker, than "victim".

Known Levels (by appearance)[]

The Fighting Stick Figures and others who were not created in Flash or were created after Animator vs. Animation 3 do not apply to this hierarchy. The stick figures of some levels never appear in animations, often having simply a non-canonical appearance. The known levels are stated from top (weakest) to bottom (strongest):

"NO ONE" and "victim" appear to be very basic stick figures, as the Fighting Stick Figures have similar ability such as having no superpowers but above-average fighting skills and are more known for being creative in a fight, with the former struggling to so much as stay above the water after falling in.

"killer" and "BEAST" are likely intermediate power levels, with capabilities somewhere between the levels of the former two and "The Chosen One".

"The Chosen One" is the second highest power level explicitly referred to, with superhuman abilities in raw strength, speed, durability, stamina and complete with a whole set of superpowers, such as flight, laser vision and elemental control over fire, wind, ice and lightning.

All information preceding this line is backed up by the game, which confirms them in a difficulty selection screen (pictured here) shown when playing as the Animator.

"The Chosen One's enemy" is likely an intermediate power level, with capabilities somewhere around or below "The Chosen One". This is because no power is technically necessary to oppose The Chosen One, only necessary to defeat him.

"The Dark Lord" is a power level equal or slightly below to "The Chosen One" as it has the same basic powers as the latter, until The Dark Lord artificially enhanced his power using virus wristbands to overcome his enemy.

"HACKER"/"H4CK3R" is equal to or possibly stronger than both "The Chosen One" and "The Dark Lord", as it gives the ability to change the power level of other stick figures and allows one to quickly manipulate or destroy files and programs, similar to that of a virus.

"The Second Coming" is an unknown level given how it was never shown to be a "symbol" that was converted onto the orange stick figure that is named this title, but if it is a level than it appears to be the highest, eclipsing even "The Chosen One" in raw power, with completely different powers such as becoming an anti-virus and generating a divine green energy. However, unlike the other two titles, this power can't be controlled at will and a catalyst must awaken this dormant power for it to manifest. What may be a title seemingly made The Second Coming an unparalleled genius, as he can master concepts and quickly learn in a day at worst and seconds at best.

All levels seemingly display extraordinary learning capabilities and intelligence, being able to expertly operate within mere seconds of existence.
