This page explains all of King Orange's relationships with the other characters in the series.
Family[]
Gold[]
King Orange (right) and Gold at a festival.
Gold was his only known family member and the only person he cared for in life. Ever since he was very little, King Orange took his son to the playground and even as time went by, he still loved nothing more than playing with him and went to the city carnival with him as they went through multiple attractions but noticed he was drawn excitedly to a booth for a video game called Minecraft. Following his son inside, King Orange reassured his son as he entered the virtual reality machine despite his anxiety as he was transported into the game and all seemed well.
However, when an unknown glitch appeared and he noticed the computer engineers desperately trying to shut the machine down, the King was filled with dread as he realized his son was in danger and he attempted to escape when the glitch was consuming in. The King was panicked and tried with everything he had to help his son but was helpless to watch as the fatal error consumed him; the loss of his son was so unbearable and traumatic that the King felt his entire world crashing down around him before he was overtaken by an immeasurable wrath that he took out on the developers in blind violence before falling into despair as he realized the true reason for his son's loss was Minecraft itself.
King Orange's need to avenge his son was so great that it consumed his life as he spent all of his time, energy and money into finding a way to eradicate Minecraft for his son's sake. This led to him resorting to back alley trading, experimentation, enslaving Piglin Brutes and using Purple as a pawn for the sake of obtaining the Minecraft Game Icon, the only thing powerful enough to destroy Minecraft entirely, and causing a lot of trouble and pain for The Second Coming and The Fighting Stick Figures.
After obtaining the power of the block, the King wasted no time in creating a vortex to swallow Minecraft into oblivion and tried to destroy everyone who tried stopping him, including The Second Coming and the Fighting Stick Figures along with their Minecraft allies and even Herobrine. However, it wasn't until Purple tried standing up to him despite being blasted head on that the King began remembering how his son was consumed and realized he was doing the same thing to Purple now. Realizing that he subconsciously chose Purple because he reminded him of his son, the King dropped his power and rushed to try and save Purple as he was consumed by the vortex along with himself.
Inside the void, he found his house showing a representation of how he lost his son to the game and how he became so defined by hate that he attacked everything in Minecraft and all of its inhabitants, along with the gang who were trying to help them and even saw his son being attacked by himself which shocked him as he tried to stop his other self from hurting his son who transitioned to become Purple which showed him how wrong he was to do so many bad things to Purple after he lost his own father.
His spouse[]
In an AVG reaction to Animation vs. Minecraft Shorts Season 3 - In Real Time, Alan mentions that King Orange’s spouse was a “very neon yellow.” They are never seen in any of Alan’s videos, and what happened to them is unknown. Most people believed that they died. This would further explain King Orange’s extreme reaction to his son dying to Minecraft, as it would mean he lost his whole family.
Purple[]
King Orange first came across Purple after he knocked on the door and showed King Orange the wanted poster of five stick figures, King Orange opens the door and is greeted by Purple. He shows King Orange what he is capable of and convinces King Orange to let Purple help him in his quest.
The two of them would head to the Nether, where they recruited an army of Piglins and King got his iconic crown from Purple. After getting the Stick Gang stuck in their own Parkour loops, Purple would return to King to update him about where they are with their plan. Upon seeing the plan working perfectly, King nodded approvingly to Purple, patted him on the head, and prepared to illustrate the back half of his plan.
After he finished, King Orange would tell Purple the next steps: Purple was to fly to Alan's PC, steal the Minecraft Game Icon, and bring it to him, where seemingly he and Purple would become all-powerful. Purple applauded for him, but after King was told that Green escaped, he zapped a Piglin, turning its AI off and it into a lifeless statue, ordered the Piglins to find Green and Purple to get the Minecraft block.
Before Purple could leave, however, he was ambushed by Green. When it seemed Green had the upper hand, King Orange put him in a chokehold with his staff and ordered Purple to rise. Purple got up and left for the block, and King imprisoned Green.
Purple would eventually return with the Minecraft block, and King used it in his staff, replacing the Command Block he had been using before. He promptly makes a small black hole in the Nether, rising into the air, but when Purple asked for a chance to use the staff, King denied him and whacked him into the planning room, underneath the frame showing the two of them holding the staff together.
Despite this, Purple would bow before this image, showing his loyalty to King, and assembled the Piglins to defeat the newly freed Fighting Stick Figures while King dueled with The Second Coming, who is using alexcrafter28's Minecraft block. Seeing the battle turn against him, Purple would try to escape with his elytra, only to get held down by Green and Yellow with fishing rods. Purple would cry out to King for help, but King would ignore him, showing what he really thought of Purple: a Pawn meant to be replaced by the all-powerful Queen, the Minecraft block. Feeling betrayed, Purple would flee to the Note Block Universe.
Eventually, King would merge the two Minecraft blocks, creating an even more powerful black hole, and shoot it upward, only to get blind-sighted by a redeemed Purple. The latter would gain the staff, and the Stick Gang and their allies would pin King down, but when Yellow let his guard down, distracted by the Titan Ravager, King used the opportunity to steal Yellow's staff and rush Purple, punching him into the ground and regaining his original staff.
King would, one by one, absorb the Minecraft mobs into his staff, leaving only the rainbow-colored stick figures as the last hope for Minecraft. Purple would make one last stand against his former leader, but King would blast him head-on with his beam. Purple would trudge closer, and King began getting flashbacks of his late son, Gold. He would dismiss these thoughts and press his beam more intensely at Purple, but when Purple succumbed to the beam, King realized how much Purple reminded him of Gold and dropped the staff, racing after him.
King would get reminded of the misdeeds he did to Purple, but sprinted after him anyway, jumping into the black hole himself as Purple disintegrated. King would wake up in a white void and walk toward his house, where he would see chalk drawings on his wall illustrating his happy life with Gold, Gold's tragic death, and King's unceasing revenge against Minecraft. When more mobs, the Stick Gang, and finally Gold appeared on the block, King understood what he was doing, and when the image of himself used Gold--and then Purple--to beat up the block, King banged on the wall, begging it to stop.
He would break through the wall and see an abandoned Purple surrounded by flower petals. He ran up to Purple and threw his arms around him, and Purple would hug him right back. After The Second Coming brought the combined Minecraft icons through the Nether portal, reverting all the damage done, Purple and King would get propelled out of it, still wrapped in each other's arms. They would help each other to their feet, King would give Purple his crown, (who would subsequently give it to the Heroic Pig) and was about to leave, but Purple stopped him. King turned around, shook hands with Purple, and ushered him to come home with him. Purple gladly accepted and followed King home.
King and Purple ice skating together.
King Orange and Purple, now adopted by King, would later be seen sitting on the fence of the park where King used to take Gold, slowly strengthening their relationship and mending their broken hearts with each other's help. Over the Christmas holidays, the two of them would return to a snowy Minecraft taiga biome to munch on cookies and to do some ice skating together, both of them the happiest they've been in a long, long time.
Allies[]
Stick Gang[]
As the main antagonist of AvM Season 3, King Orange was antagonistic toward the main quintet of characters, refusing to let them or anyone get in the way of his ultimate goal. He would imprison Green in his tower, lure Yellow into his fake throne room, and would keep him and Blue distracted with a fake command block staff and Netherwarts, respectively. However, when Green found Yellow and Blue and told them about King's plan, King--seeing his cover blown--would fight the three stick figures. At first he was overpowered by them, but the advent of Purple taking the Minecraft Game Icon through the Nether portal caused the protagonists to lose their weapons, allowing King to gain the upper hand. He would promptly cage the three of them, and later on Red as well.
Upon receiving the Minecraft block, he would get attacked by The Second Coming, and the two of them would have an incredible duel with their respective Minecraft blocks. This battle would culminate in King falling back into his castle, getting knocked out in the process, and The Second Coming finding a dripstone cave.
Slowly, and steadily, the Stick Gang, Purple, and their Minecraft mob allies, would enter the Nether to fight King, but their efforts would prove insufficient in defeating him, all until Purple's last stand, which caused King to drop his Staff and chase him down. The Stick Gang would grab the staff and race to their portal, getting it though just in time and reverting the damage done.
In the aftermath, King, realizing the full consequences of his actions, would remove his crown and bow low to The Second Coming, asking for forgiveness. The Second Coming lifted King up and shook his hand, forgiving him on behalf of himself and his friends and putting everyone on good terms. King would bring back the Titan Ravager Family (after getting a look from Yellow and Blue) and gave his staff to Yellow before going home with Purple as his new son. The Stick Gang would wave good-bye and returned to ALANSPC.
Minecraft Mobs[]
Titan Ravager Family[]
At first, King showed his power over the Titan Ravager Family, using his staff to kill the large and small ones, leaving only a slab of beef where they once stood, causing the Medium-sized Titan Ravager to flee in terror. Yellow would later recruit it to help fight against King, but it, along with the other Minecraft mobs, would get absorbed into his staff. It was after King rehabilitated that he brought back the Ravager's family, and King and the Ravagers would go their separate ways.
Warden[]
King's first encounter with the Warden was in the episode bearing the latter's name. While looking for the Minecraft Game Icon, King went face-to-face against The Second Coming, but without the Minecraft block, King was significantly weaker. However, after infusing his Staff with a gold block, he managed to put up a little resistance, but was still no match for The Second Coming-Warden tandem. He got stripped of his staff and socked by the Warden, knocking him right over to one of the blocks, which he used, caging the Warden and The Second Coming in Netherite blocks.
The Warden would continue to fight with The Second Coming until it got absorbed in King's staff, like the other mobs that came into the fight after it. However, after The Stick Gang and their allies saved Minecraft, the Warden would get launched out of the reverse black hole. It and King would not interact. Rather, King would go home with Purple, and the Warden would enlist in Monster School, Red awarding him the honor of Yellow Team member to take his place.
Skellington, Endie, and Spider[]
The Monster School Students Red recruited fought against King ever since they appeared in the Nether through the portal. Using their unique talents, they managed to do things like steal King's Staff and rescue The Second Coming and the Warden from their Netherite cage. Though they and their allies fought valiantly, Skellington, Endie, and Spider would get absorbed into King's staff, and would later get rescued by The Second Coming. They wouldn't interact with King afterwards. Instead, they returned to school with Herobrine.
Herobrine[]
Upon learning of King attacking his students, Herobrine himself would duel King. The fight between these two is arguably one of the greatest fights in Animation vs. Minecraft history, with these two giants going blow-for-blow, with Herobrine using his clones to drill King with arrows and electrocute him with lightning enchanted Tridents. Eventually, instead of his usual obsidian attacks, King would combat his powerful opponent by using bedrock as his weapon/shield of choice, (Showing his respect for Herobrine as a fighter, as this is the only time he uses bedrock at all) and upon learning that he can absorb the clones, he went on the offensive.
King's aggression would prove to be too much for Herobrine, and he get stuck in King's staff, but before getting sucked in completely, he possessed Red and became the MegaStick once more. Despite the newfound strength, King would prove overpowering for even Herobrine to handle, and the Minecraft myth got absorbed in the staff. Like the other mobs, Herobrine would get revived after the Stick Gang got the block through the portal, and he returned to teach at Monster School without interacting with King.
Piglin Tribe and Piglin Brutes[]
While King and the Piglin tribe Blue met don't interact, King and the Brutes are closely tied. Upon first reaching the Nether, King and Purple recruited an army of Piglin Brutes with gold ingots, and the Brutes loyally serve King's--and Purple's--every request (Because if they don't, King might turn them into lifeless statues by turning their AI off). King is to the Brutes a feared leader who provides them with gold, and the Brutes are to King servants meant to keep the Stick Gang trapped while Purple gets the Minecraft block. After getting said block, King had no problem killing several Brutes to create the black hole, treating them expendably, similar to how he treated Purple after getting the block.
Enemies[]
Steve Clones[]
The Steve Clones are duplicates that Herobrine spawned to summoned to help him fight King. These clones, along with Herobrine, proved to be King's biggest challenge yet, so much so that King resorted to using bedrock to combat them, as opposed to his usual obsidian. Despite the clones lacking in power, they make up for it in sheer number and are no slouches themselves when it comes to weaponry, using enchanted tridents to strike King with lightning, sending a volley of arrows his way, and surrounding him with shields and swords. However, King would overtake them by absorbing them into his staff one by one, leading up to Herobrine himself.
Zaffre, Cerulean, and Dark Green[]
These three characters ran the Minecraft VR simulation at the festival King and Gold went to on Gold's last night. When the simulation went haywire, resulting in the game crashing, King and the developers tried to open the door, but to no avail, and King could only watch helplessly as his son got sucked into the game, killing him. The developers tried comforting King, but his grief turned to rage and he attacked them, choking and socking them across the face.
Minecraft - His son's killer[]
Ever since the night he lost his son, King has had a hatred of Minecraft for taking Gold away from him. He became determined to get vengeance for his son's death, and he spent time pouring over books and plotting to remove Minecraft from existence. He would have succeeded too, if not for Purple getting through to him at the last moment and the Stick Gang getting the staff through the portal to ALANSPC. After that, King reformed and went home with Purple, the two of them healing each other's wounds, and would later return to Minecraft with Purple to spend some quality time on the ice over Christmas.
