Animation vs. Minecraft Shorts Season 3[]

King Orange and his son Gold at a festival together.

King Orange and his son Gold at a festival together.

Early life[]

King Orange was originally a regular stick figure who had a son named Gold, his only known relative. In his younger years, he and Gold played at a playground. King Orange reminisced those good times as he and Gold went off to the town festival. However, Gold noticed an advertisement for a game called Minecraft and begged his father to let him play, so King Orange admitted him into a virtual reality booth which enabled someone to travel directly into Minecraft itself. Gold entered a new world and while he is having fun, King Orange noticed an alarm going off and a glitch manifesting, corrupting the game. The programmers panicked and unsuccessfully tried to shut the simulation down. Seeing the world decay around him, Gold managed to exit the simulation, but the doors to the booth were sealed closed. Despite King Orange and the programmers' best attempts to pry them open, Gold was ultimately swallowed back into the game as it crashed, taking Gold with it.

Descent into madness[]

King Orange fell to his knees as his whole world collapsed, the only person in his life that mattered was gone. The programmers attempted to console him, but his sorrow immediately turned into burning wrath, and he attacked them ruthlessly. Later, back at his home, he attacked a poster of Minecraft, feeling nothing but pure hatred for the game. He relives his son pleading for help as he was helpless, unable to do anything but watch.

King Orange, fueled by his eternal hatred of the game and everything related to it, devoted all of his time and energy to ultimately avenge his son; as Minecraft destroyed his son, he would destroy Minecraft. Now obsessed with destroying the game, King Orange began studying everything about it as well as other topics like vortexes and black holes. Ultimately, he realized that to destroy Minecraft, he must use its own power against it and began designing a staff, as well as researching which blocks are the most powerful to fulfill the necessary requirements.

Eventually, he came across the Command Block and believed it to be what he is looking for. After a shady purchases made in a back alley, he tries out his staff. Unfortunately, it does not function and King Orange begins constructing more staffs, each made from different materials and using different designs. Finally, he creates a usable one and and is successful in harnessing the Command Block's power. However, when activating it, all it does is summon a single block of cobblestone.

Realizing the Command Block was too weak, King Orange moved on from the Minecraft Wiki and instead began reading into Mysteries which described unofficial characters, items and such that weren't necessarily part of the game's ruleset. This leads to him discovering a page which described the Minecraft Game Icon: the most powerful item in Minecraft. Since it contained the entire codebase of the game, it was the only thing capable of truly destroying Minecraft in its entirety. Having found exactly what he was looking for, King Orange read all about the game icon and, to his frustration, realized that the only thing about the icon that isn't mentioned is its location. Refusing to give up, he begins asking other stick figures if they know anything about where to find the Minecraft Game Icon, only to find the same answer from all of them: they didn't know.

Hitting a dead end, King Orange wandered the streets staring at the page until he walked by a TV store and saw the original Animation vs. Minecraft video, showing The Second Coming and his four friends, the Fighting Stick Figures discovering the Minecraft Game Icon on their home—Alan's desktop—and their fight against Herobrine who possessed Red. Shocked, King Orange realized that the icon is in fact obtainable and begins asking if anyone knows the stick figures on the TV to no avail. He began putting up posters asking people if they've seen the five stick figures all across town in hopes of finding any leads that can lead him to them and ultimately, the game icon.

He is approached by Purple who tells King Orange he has met the gang before and showcases his abilities as well as the Elytra he obtained from his first adventure with them. Having no other leads, King Orange accepts Purple as his helper and leads him into a cave he dug under his house using the Command Block and Purple discovers the various blocks and systems that King Orange built underneath in order to obtain the game icon from the The Second Coming and others. Activating the Nether Portal, King Orange and Purple journey to a Bastion Remnant where, using the staff, he easily overpowers the Piglin Brutes and earns their loyalty by showcasing his power and giving them gold ingots.

With his plan now set into motion, King Orange created a throne out of gold and other materials and sits down. Purple gifts King Orange the crown that he once wore when ruling over the villagers. Taking the crown, King Orange dons it and officially begins his quest to obtain the Minecraft Game Icon to finally avenge his beloved son, no matter the cost.

Parkour[]

King Orange makes his debut in this episode. He resides in a bastion remnant along with Piglin brutes. Purple later comes to his palace with the Pig, revealing that Purple is helping King Orange. They later go into a room where they discuss their plans. After Green comes out of the parkour course, it was first revealed that King Orange wants to harness the power of the Minecraft app to be even more powerful. After that it was reported to him that Green has escaped the parkour course which made him very angry to the point where he set a not A.I. command on the Piglin brute making the mob featureless and empty. He later sends some Piglin brutes after Green and send Purple to ALANSPC. But then Green attacks Purple which leads to King Orange capturing Green. After he imprisoned Green in a cell near the Pig that was in a different cell. King Orange trapped Green with electrified bars so he couldn't bust out. However, he didn't trap the pig with electrified iron bars since the pig isn't like a player or a stick figure who can actually break blocks.

Titan Ravager[]

When the three titan ravagers go to the village, King Orange sets a kill command on two titan ravagers that had tried to devour several villagers. He angrily tries to walk towards Blue and Yellow, but gets surrounded by the villagers. He pretends to act nice to the villagers because they thank him for saving them. He then requests Blue and Yellow to join him. Yellow accepts it, while Blue seemingly doesn't want to, but was convinced by Yellow. After that, King Orange created a portal leading to a throne room and took the two inside of it.

The Ultimate Weapon[]

After all three stick figures go into to the throne room, C418's "Mellohi" song plays in the background. King Orange instantly changes the map portrait on the wall from a portrait of him holding the staff with the Minecraft block in it to the command block staff to avoid revealing his plan to the two and welcomes them in. He gives Yellow and Blue crowns, but Blue is reluctant. King Orange gives Yellow a throne with a command block staff to persuade him. Blue recalls Purple doing the same thing to him and Green (from Episode 9: Villagers) and refuses to take the crown, but he easily accepts it after Orange gave him a throne with nether warts.

Green and the Heroic Pig sneak out into the throne room, but King Orange notices them and creates a wall with obsidian. He then breaks the blocks on the room, but King Orange then places down new blocks as quickly as Green broke them, while Yellow and Blue react to this. Green activates a TNT block, damaging King Orange and part of the throne room.

But King Orange has had enough. He takes out the "Mellohi" disc, cracks his joints, inserts a "Pigstep" disc, then adjusts the room for a battle. Using his staff, he raises the ceiling and creates three cages, then prepares to fight Green, Yellow, and Blue. Despite King Orange's obvious advantage with his command block, the three stick figures successfully defeat and corner King Orange. Unfortunately, their items and the Heroic Pig vanish due to the Minecraft Game Icon being taken out of ALANSPC. While the trio stood around in confusion, King Orange took the opportunity to retrieve his staff, beats them up, and throws the three inside of the cages.

While Red and Purple are fighting over the Minecraft Game Icon, King Orange grabs Red with his staff and throws him in a cage. Orange then throws his command block aside and inserts the Minecraft Game Icon into his staff, granting him enormous power. He created a massive explosive beam upwards killing some of his piglin brute minions and destroying the ceiling. Purple attempts to take a turn with the staff, but is blasted away despite being promised they would share the power. King Orange then creates a black hole that begins consuming the Nether. Before he can continue, however, The Second Coming appears and slams into him. After The Second Coming frees the Fighting Stick Figures and arms them, King Orange hits him back and the two begin to fight.

King Orange uses obsidian to slam The Second Coming, but gets up after placing a stone block. The Second Coming uses a minecart to push King Orange off and attack him with cobblestone. King Orange then uses arrows to shoot at The Second Coming, but he blocks all of them with his shield. King Orange flies up and smacks The Second Coming four times with his staff, and shoots large amounts of arrows again, only for The Second Coming to shield himself inside of a stone ball. King Orange notices it, but gets slammed in the chest by stone blocks being placed by The Second Coming. He is then hit by a TNT minecart and The Second Coming slams him with obsidian blocks after ender pearling next to him. King Orange head-smacks The Second Coming onto a part of a bastion remnant structure and breaks through it, with the obsidian extending and pushing The Second Coming until he shields himself with iron blocks. The Second Coming flies up to the black hole to try stopping it, but King Orange comes back and hits The Second Coming with the obsidian blocks he's controlling. King Orange then uses fire charges to aim for him, but he ignites two portals and all fire charges get inside of them, and gets smacked by King Orange's obsidian blocks again. He is then hit back with iron blocks, and both fighters shield each other with King Orange's being obsidian, and The Second Coming's being iron blocks and cobblestone. King Orange attempts to aim for The Second Coming with arrows again, but he ender pearls and King Orange gets hit with a TNT block. He then uses fire charges again, but The Second Coming manages to dodge them, and King Orange uses the obsidian blocks to attempt pushing him at a far distance, but The Second Coming shields himself with the light Minecraft Game Icon.

Meanwhile, Purple attempts to escape after noticing the Piglin Army is losing, but is pinned down by Green and Yellow. He asks King Orange for help, but is ignored and King Orange continues to fight The Second Coming, showing he never cared about Purple.

King Orange continues to fight the Second Coming and tries preventing him from destroying the black hole, and in a last-ditch attempt, he used his Minecraft Game Icon to touch The Second Coming's Minecraft Game Icon and creates a massive explosion, sending both icons flying off. He falls into the throne room with nothing but his empty staff. His crown then fell off, signifying that he has become ultimately powerless. Pigstep then finished playing and popped out of the jukebox.

The Warden[]

King Orange awakens after being unconscious after his fight against The Second Coming. He quickly realizes that the Minecraft Game Icon fell out of his staff during the previous fight. He attempts to retrieve the block, but is stopped upon The Second Coming's arrival, now riding the Warden. The Warden begins to battle with King Orange. Despite gaining a boost of power via putting a gold block into his staff, King Orange ends up outclassed and defeated by the Warden. However, King Orange recovers, and sees the Minecraft Game Icon, preparing to fight his two adversaries once more.

Monster School[]

King Orange, now in possession of the Minecraft Game Icon again, attacks the Second Coming and the Warden. The Second Coming fights back with staff with a gold block equipped, however King Orange easily overpowers the duo with the Minecraft Game Icon and traps them both in Netherite blocks. He takes back his staff, throws the gold block away, and begins to reinsert the Minecraft Game Icon. Before he can, however, the staff is yanked from him by the spider, showing Red and his friends arrived.

Red reattaches the gold block back in the staff and prepares to fight, flanked by his new monster allies. King Orange shakes his head in rage and attacks Red. Red's monster allies battle against King Orange while Red tries to free the Warden and The Second Coming from the Netherite. He is unsuccessful and is knocked away by King Orange, luckily Endie appears and teleports both of them out.

During the fight, Red notices the Netherite blocks and inserts one in the staff. He strikes King Orange and sends him flying. Everyone celebrates while Red and The Second Coming hug. However, they hear a noise and turn around, showing King Orange now in possession of both Minecraft Game Icons.

The Raid[]

King Orange, now possessing two Minecraft Game Icons, attacks his enemies once. He uses the second icon to turn the nearby Netherite Blocks into large-scale weapons while summoning Dark Mobs, who were negative alter ego clones, of the Warden, Spider, Endie, and Skellington with the first. The heroes put up a fight, but amidst the chaos the Dark Mob Warden clone pins down Red, and King Orange yanks his staff back. Before he can do anything, however, the Titan Ravager erupts from the portal, with Blue and Yellow on its back. The Ravager easily destroys the shadow clones, and Blue, Yellow, Red, and the Second Coming throw their arms up in greeting.

The battle continues, with Yellow using the power of his new command block staff to counter King Orange's attacks and the others fending off the Dark Mobs that King Orange summons. Unfortunately, despite a hard-fought battle, the group is eventually defeated and pinned down by the shadow clones. King Orange takes back his staff once more from Red and flies up. He combines the two Minecraft Game Icons together until they fuse together, giving a pulsating black-and-white aura. He inserts the combined Minecraft Game Icon into his staff, and fires a massive power blast towards the top of the Nether, a sign of his victory.

Note Block Universe[]

The power blast created by the combined blocks created a even larger black hole, but as he was powering it, Purple hit King Orange with a rocket-powered punch, knocking him aside, which shocked the other stick figures, apart from Green. Purple then took King Orange's staff.

It is, depending on how you read the scene where Purple tells their backstory, debatably implied that King has some connection to Navy, is viewed as a father figure by Purple, or has otherwise promised Purple to help them with their goal to seemingly find Navy. The same could also be said for Purple and Gold.

The King[]

Aforementioned above, King Orange's backstory is revealed on his motives, due to the loss of his son over Minecraft.

Upon having his staff taken by Purple, he falls to the ground, and Purple destroys the Dark Mobs. He tries to get staff back, however, the heroes and their allies hold him down, while Purple unsuccessfully tries to destroy the black hole. After Yellow is distracted by the Titan Ravager, King Orange lunges and steals Yellow's staff. He overpowers the Fighting Stick Figures and takes his staff back from Purple, before destroying Yellow's staff and absorbing the command block. He continues to fight the others until Skellington is able to inform Herobrine about their battle, in which the latter then steps in to battle King Orange himself. During the ensuring battle, King Orange nearly absorbs him into his staff but he manages to escape and possess Red again, before creating another MegaStick. Despite this, King Orange overpowers him and sucks him into the staff before consuming the rest of the monster allies. He then continues feeding the black hole with his staff, further destroying Minecraft.

The stick figures attempt to battle on their own, but are subdued by the energy beam King Orange directs at them, which causes them to glitch and flicker. Purple decides to stand up to his former leader as he simply walks forward while King Orange directs the beam at him, slowly dissolving his body. Suddenly, King Orange has a flashback, viewing Purple as Gold, and drops his staff, rushing in to save Purple, as the two vanish in the beam.

King Orange then wakes up in an empty white void, before finding his house with nothing inside. He then finds an animation of himself and the events of losing Gold, and how he hurt so many people in his quest for revenge, to the point where he is essentially harming his son's memory in the process. He then realizes that he has gone too far, desperately striking the image of himself to make it stop. He ends up smashing the wall and finding Purple, as he then runs in to give him a hug. Purple sees him as Navy at first before King Orange throws his arms around him, showing he has finally become the father figure Purple desired.

After the Nether is restored, King Orange and Purple are freed from the Minecraft Icon, as the King hands over his crown to Purple, who then hands it over to the Heroic Pig before the two leave. He also resurrects the monster allies, including the Titan Ravager's family and the Heroic Pig, before giving his staff to Yellow. In the credits sequence, King Orange can be seen at the playground with Purple by his side, the latter being adopted as the former's new son.

More Faces - An Actual Short[]

King Orange gets a face drawn on by The Second Coming. The face incorporates thick, bushy eyebrows and a beard with a crown. The face is an angry face, so King Orange naturally hates it. With a suggestion from Green, TSC changes it to a simple happy face without the beard, but with the huge eyebrows. Looking in the mirror, King Orange likes the face, taking off his crown.
