Dark Blue, also called Royal Blue and Navy, is an overarching antagonist in the Animation vs. Minecraft Shorts series, appearing only in "Note Block Universe" and "The King". Despite this, he's an extremely plot-relevant character.
He is Purple's biological father, who attempted to train him into a fighter before leaving after an argument with his wife, Pink. He is indirectly the main cause for his son's evil alignment in Animation vs. Minecraft Shorts Season 1, Animation vs. League of Legends and Animation vs. Minecraft Shorts Season 3.

Dark Blue is a tall, blue artificial stick figure.
Backstory[]
Dark Blue was a stick figure from the Outernet. He was created by an unknown animator, and published on Newgrounds alongside his wife Pink and his son Purple. When growing up as a family, he did not get along with his wife and son, constantly pushing his son to train and become a strong fighter, likely because of his family almost dying as seen in the events of Animator vs. Animation 11, which always caused arguments and tension between him and his wife, as Pink always defended their son from him due to believing he was too brutal when fighting Purple. Dark Blue finally had enough and left his family, thinking that they were weak. Pink later died due to an unknown sickness. With his mother gone, Purple was now on his own and so tried to find and impress Dark Blue by attempting to make himself look strong and powerful through things such as ruling over a village, stealing the dragon egg to show he managed to outsmart a dragon, and teaming up with King Orange to get the power of the Minecraft Game Icon, the most powerful object in the game.
By extension, this means Dark Blue is to blame for all the times Purple fought and tried to hurt the Stick Gang.
That said, Purple never actually managed to find Dark Blue (and by extension, make him proud) and his current whereabouts are still unknown.
Trivia[]
- Despite being a different shade and also having a different name, he is given custom nicknames from fans to difference him from the heroic Blue, such as "Royal Blue" and "Navy".
- His current status as of "Victim" is unknown, due to the episode being all of the events that occurred before Season 3, and also due to him only appearing as a cameo in Season 3 of Animation vs. Minecraft.
- He (along with Pink) all appear in Season 3 only episodes.
