"Bedwars" is the 36th episode of the Animation vs. Minecraft Shorts series, being the sixth and final installment of Season 4.
Unofficial Synopsis[]
The Fighting Stick Figures play Bedwars, first with each other, then in a public lobby. Can they dominate their opponents or will their opponents dominate them?
Plot[]
Facilitated by the command block staff, the Fighting Stick Figures are playing a local game of Bedwars on ALANSPC, with Blue and Green on Team Cyan and Red and Yellow on Team Orange. Red is the first to reach the emerald generator and Team Cyan's island. He immediately attempts to break the bed, only to be thwarted by Green, who pushes him off the edge of the island to his death. Confused, Red is teleported back to the desktop, and respawns at his own island five seconds later, as he pets the Heroic Pig.
Chaotic fighting ensues in the match as both teams attempted to break each other's bed, but mostly to no avail. The deadlock is finally broken when Red destroys the Cyan bed during a battle on the island, and Blue is immediately killed by Yellow with a swift push. Blue is also teleported back to the desktop, only this time the text informs him that his bed has been destroyed and that he will no longer respawn.
As Red and Yellow close in on Green, the latter pulls out an ender pearl and teleports to the Orange island, and destroys the Orange bed before the two can stop him. In a display of skill, Green utilizes block placement and PvP skills to clutch the ensuing 1v2 and win the game for Cyan, much to Blue's ecstasy.
Back on the desktop, the stick figures discover a Twitch stream displaying an online match of Bedwars. Opening the Minecraft app, the four enter Hypixel, Minecraft's largest online community, and head straight into a Bedwars match with 4 teams of four. The sticks are placed in Team Red, and Blue excitedly instructs Yellow to purchase stone swords for everyone. The four encounter Team Green, consisting of players Lunsar, Sarlok_, Tince and Sprray, on the opposite island from them. However, the team were immediately pegged back upon reaching the middle emerald generator, as previous match-winner Green gets comboed and destroyed by Team Green players Sarlok_ and Lunsar. Red and Yellow were no better, and they too were subjected to the onslaught as their death messages appeared in the chatbox. Eager for revenge, Yellow returns to the emerald generator to collect resources, only to be met with a message informing the server that the Team Blue bed has been destroyed by Lunsar. Red and Green, already at the generator, can only watch on in horror as the Green players wipe out the Blue team; the Yellow team's demise followed shortly as they, too, are attacked and wiped by Team Green.
Realizing that they are the only remaining team, Yellow instructs the stick figures to regroup and attack the Green bed. Red, Green and Yellow reach the Green island and begin desperately hacking away at the Green bed, but are sent packing by the returning Green players, who repaired the bed with wool and prepared to face the three sticks, who have taken refuge at the top of the island. Green and Yellow are the first to jump downwards, only to again be slaughtered by the much more skilful Green players. It transpired, however, that the two are a mere distraction for Team Green, as Red followed suit, jumped down and broke the Green bed before the Team Green duo can return. Red, however, meets the same fate as his two teammates as he is also knocked off the edge by Team Green, respawning back at base.
With the momentum now on Team Green's side, the four players mount an attack on the Red island. Equipped with iron swords, the Fighting Stick Figures attempt to put up a fight, but are no match for the TNT dropped on the island, and the Red bed is destroyed in the chaos. Red charges forward, but is no match for Team Green as he is killed and eliminated from the match; Green and Yellow are also eliminated in the battle. With his team reduced to one final player, Blue is on the verge of giving up, throwing his sword towards the Green players in an act of desperation. Instead of hitting the ground, the sword strikes a Green player and deals damage. Realizing that he can use his animated powers even in the online match, Blue begins leaping around with his iron sword, repeatedly striking the powerless Green players in mid-air and single-handedly taking out the entire team, earning the stick figures their first victory, and resetting Team Green's incredible 98 win-streak to 0.
Following the win, the Fighting Stick Figures go on a rampage throughout Hypixel, terrorizing Bedwars lobbies and winning match after match, even causing ripples in the YouTube community as streamers and YouTubers alike encountered—and subsequently lost to—the four sticks. The montage ends with the stick figures closing in on a milestone, winning 99 games in a row and needing just one more triumph to reach the coveted 100 win-streak.
Team Green are once again the stick figures' opponents in the final match. In an act of vengeance, they boot up a hack client, which enables Team Green to fly, obtain infinite items, move with hyper-velocity, bridge at superhuman speed and auto-hit any incoming foes without looking at them. The sticks immediately come to this revelation in their first encounter, as Green, who is launched up towards his opponents by the other three stick figures, gets annihilated by Team Green, who are auto-clicking at insane speeds and blatantly cheating. Red and Blue spread out towards the Team Blue and Team Yellow bases respectively, which have both surrendered to Team Green. The Green players wasted no time in flying towards their stick opponents and stopping them in their tracks, but are deceived and confounded by the two, who zoomed past their defenders through stealth tactics and blocking.
Back at the Red island, Green is seen abusing the villager in the shop for battle items, as Yellow prepares to meet the Green attackers head-on. Despite their best efforts, however, the two were unable to prevent Team Green from breaking the Red bed. Thankfully, Blue successfully evades a Green defender with the aid of an iron golem, landing in the Green base and blowing up the bed defence with TNT for Red to break in, evening up the scoreline.
The two teams square up for a final encounter on the central island, as Lunsar instructs his team to attack in sync. The stick figures, with the aid of fireballs, blocks and another iron golem, initially fends off the quadruplet, with Red even managing to melt half the HP of a Green player with a deftly-executed TNT throw. Both teams consume golden apples to regenerate, but this proves useless to Green, who is attacked by an opponent and nearing certain death; Blue comes to his aid, and together with Red and the now-rejuvenated Green, the trio strike Team Green player Sprray and eliminate him from the game. Despite drawing first blood, Green is caught between Sprray's surviving teammates Sarlok_ and Tince, and is also dominated and wiped from the match. Yellow barely escapes his surrounding opponents only to be halted by an ambush at the top of the central tower; as he is about to lose his final heart from the onslaught of Green players, sudden death kicks in and spawns an ender dragon for both teams. This proves to be his saving grace, as with half-a-heart remaining Yellow is pushed away from his attackers towards the safety of Red and Blue. The Green players slay the Red Ender Dragon rapidly, but Red manages to use the Green dragon to his team's advantage, slamming it into Tince and killing him instantly. Yellow is knocked off from the Green Ender Dragon after a fireball from Sarlok_, becoming his 2,866th final kill. Enraged, Blue slays Sarlok_ with a bow, but Red is lost at the hands of Lunsar.
Blue and Lunsar begin the final showdown, as both players go down to half-a-heart. Just as Blue is about to strike Lunsar and win the game, a message appears in the chat announcing the arrival of Partypooper101, a server moderator, blocking Blue's wooden sword.
Blue and Lunsar awkwardly stare at the moderator before both, in anti-climactic fashion, are permanently banned off of Hypixel for cheating and suspicious activity. The four are dropped back onto ALANSPC, where The Second Coming and the Heroic Pig approach them; the latter half-heartedly throws a crown onto the stick pile.

Errors[]
- In the beginning of the episode, Red got 16 blocks, but he used 17 blocks to build a path.
- At timestamp 0:32, Minecraft uses an unofficial render of a grass block as its icon.
- At timestamp 7:22, the held yellow wool is rotated incorrectly.
- At timestamp 7:29, the wooden sword uses its old texture before the Texture Update.
- At timestamp 10:33, the death message is grammatically incorrect. It says "pixelcraftian/bookno255 was thrown a into volcano by Sprray", where the correct version should be "pixelcraftian/bookno255 was thrown into a volcano by Sprray".
- At timestamp 12:47, despite both beds having already been broken, the scoreboard still hasn't updated and is still showing that the Red and Green beds are intact.
- Throughout the video, all villagers in this episode use the old texture before the Texture Update.
Trivia[]
- Lunsar, a Team Green player in this episode, is actually an animator for Alan Becker, and is also credited as the "Bedwars Expert" in this video's description.
- Sprray, also a Team Green player in this episode, made a previous appearance as a comment in Influencer Arc, telling Green to remove capes.
- Despite having the infinite-item cheat, Team Green are fighting in leather armor and wielding lowly stone swords.
- This is the first episode to be in an online server.
- This episode had a collab with many Bedwars YouTubers.
- Rather than being nearly three blocks tall, as the Stick Gang have been in past episodes, they're only two blocks tall in Bedwars, to match with the natural height of Minecraft players.
- In the beginning of the episode, the beds are a reference of the colors they would make if their colors are mixed together. Red + yellow = orange, and green + blue = cyan.
