The basic timeline of the Animator vs. Animation franchise, the chronological order of the all 177 installments released so far (including episodes, shorts, minisodes, miscellaneous entries and non-canon videos with references).
This chronology will also include Animation vs. Education series, whose canonicity and ambiguous and open to interpretation, with Alan Becker stating that it could be a separate universe or just a dream, with him personally being more close to the dream scenario.
The dates are taken from the in-video information (mainly the calendar dates on the computer) and confirmed explanations. Videos without a shown in-video calendar date are based on their release dates. The conflicting dates are also corrected and explained.
This timeline only covers the chronological order of episodes and the dates they are set in-universe. For the extensive and full timeline of the whole franchise with all details and explanations, visit the Timeline.

- ↑ As stated "five months later" The Second Coming and Alan Becker make peace
- ↑ While it takes place five months later the fight, the date shown on ALANSPC during the scene is November 11th, 2013, almost eleven months before the fight. This is an error that is fixed in the full Season 1 release.
- ↑ This is an unlisted easter egg video released on July 30th, four days before the release of Animation vs. YouTube. However, since it is a video directly made by Green during the events of Animation vs. YouTube, they take place on the same date.
- ↑ The date shown on ALANSPC is February 18th, 2017, seven months before the episode "The Rediscovery", which makes "Potions" impossible to take place on that date.
- ↑ Proven by the date on Purple's Macintosh even if it does not line up with the release dates
- ↑ In "The Killer Bunny", the date shown on ALANSPC is January 19th, 2019, which is the release date of the said episode and almost six months after the events of "SkyBlock", which makes the computer date incompatible with the other installments.
- ↑ In the end of "Cave Spider Roller Coaster", the date shown on ALANSPC is September 21st, 2019, which is the release date of the said episode as well as roughly fifteen months after "SkyBlock" and eight monts after "The Killer Bunny"'s errorized date, which makes the computer date incompatible with the other installments.
- ↑ While the season takes place in 2018, there are some elements seen during "The Showdown" that take place after 2018, such as some Twitter posts talking about COVID-19, and the franchise videos dated late 2018, 2019 and 2020 in YouTube, including Animation vs. Minecraft Shorts Season 1 full release, Animation vs. League of Legends, Animation vs. Super Mario Bros, "The Chosen One's Return" and "The Showdown" itself.

- ↑ There are some incompatibilities while determining this date:
- On ALANSPC, the time shown in "The Piglin War" is 12:12 PM with unseen date (most likely June 12th), but in the "Real Time" release this time appears as 6:49 PM with the seen date being June 12th.
- On Alexcrafter28's PC, the date shown in "Lush Caves" is June 12th at 7:34 PM, but in the "Real Time" release, the date instantly changes in the middle of the scene into June 13th at 7:34 AM.
- On Alexcrafter28's PC, the date shown at the end of "The King" is June 14th at 12:16 PM, but in the "Real Time" release, the date appears as June 13th at 8:06 AM.
- On ALANSPC, the date shown at the end of "The King" is June 14th at 12:15 PM, while in the "Real Time" release the date appears as June 12th at 8:03 PM. In "Real Time", the time also does not change from 8:03 for 3 minutes.
- When only taking the Season 3 release into account, the season begins on June 12th at 12:11 PM, and ends on June 14th at 12:16 PM, which makes the season lasting for two days and five minutes.
- However, when taking the Real Time release's video duration and Alan Becker's own explanations in 30 Million Subscriber Q&A into account, it is logically evident that the season is set on June 12th, from 6:48 PM to 8:06 PM, which is one hour and eighteen minutes long.
- ↑ Bob came out on September 17th, 2022, however Bob Is Always There shows it occurring before Christmas and Power Outage in that order, since Power Outage occurs on November 14th 2022, Bob must occur in 2021
- ↑ Between "Bob" and post-"Piggie Love"
- ↑ As multiple scenes from multiple episodes are shown during the imprisonment of Bob
- ↑ While the "Feel Better" short came out on August 12, it cannot actually take place before AVA Season 3, as the drawing in the short is shown in "Hacker".
- ↑ 31.0 31.1 31.2 31.3 31.4 A part of Animation vs. Education, which could be either a separate universe or a dream.
- ↑ While the "Piggie Love" short came out before "The Chef", it cannot actually take place before it according to the "Bob Is Always There" short, which shows that Orange knew how to make proper food before the pig's family was born.
- ↑ After "Piggie Love"
- ↑ The short was released on July 15. However, as the last known evidence shown during Bob's imprisonment is pig and family, the last scene should take place at least after "Piggie Love", and for unlikely setting in the same day, after "TNT Jump".
- ↑ Although the episode is released on February 10th, 2024, the date shown on ALANSPC is October 24th, 2023.
- ↑ While the episode is released on May 31st, 2025 as the compilation of seven Actual Shorts speedrun entries, it is seen that all of the speedruns take place on the same day, so the "Speedrun"'s release date will be taken into account as it is the first released short of the compilation.

- ↑ Proven by a split-second calendar date in "Burnout"
