I am the biggest fan of kickstarter stick figure and I still wish he was on the Animated Stick Figures image.
Can someone add Kickstarter? It would be funny and complete the image. Maybe in between TDL and TSC. (PS sorry for 2 Kickstarter but I ain’t removing) :)
Ok, I know I said I was gonna do this a while ago, but I'm making myself do it now before the piranhas come to get me, so let's get to it!
My theory is: Whatever Alan is feeling like/thinking of, his stick figures that he creates are the same
Let me explain:
In AvA 1, Alan Becker creates victim. From what we could tell, he was in a devious mood, he wanted to torture him for his own amusement. Eventually, victim fights back and "tortures" Alan, to a certain extent by making weapons and creating clones. I'll come back to him later.
In AvA 2, he creates The Chosen One. In this episode, we learn that naming a stick figure has a lot of power, as seen with TCO's creation. Alan was meaning to torture him just like victim (he first types victim, but changes it to other ones until TCO), but knew of the power of the figures. This time, he wanted control, he wanted power over the stick figures he creates. In turn, the very thing he created overpowers Alan and almost crashes his computer, if it weren't for the antivirus program.
AvA 3 is when we get to see The Dark Lord. This episode reveals a good chunk of lore to us. While TCO is fighting paper clip guy (can't remember his name for the life of me), Alan creates TDL (his first name was The Chosen One's Enemy). When he was created, Alan wanted TCO to be gone, to be destroyed. In whatever. Way. Possible. Also, TDL's code says to destroy TCO, so yeah. I guess you can say that Alan was a bit rash with his decision. Maybe a little... crazy, or wild, perhaps? I'll come back to this. Eventually, TCO and TDL become "friends" and destroy Alan's computer, escaping to the Internet/Outernet.
And the final character comes from AvA 4, named The Second Coming (The Chosen One's Return). Alan was animating an orange stick figure, feeling creative and playful, while texting his friend. He explains about what happened a year ago (AvA 3) and recalls his horrible memories of that event, but believes it wouldn't happen again. When TSC comes alive, he isn't destructive or vengeful, but rather curious and exploritive (is that a word?) and searches his computer until he finds the stick gang. After watching them, he realizes he wants, he needs friends. And so he breaks into their room and befriends them. They don't wreck the computer, but just hang around on Facebook and Adobe until Alan comes back. He deletes each member of the gang until it's just TSC. He tries to delete him too, but then TSC sends a message, "You ended my friends. Now I will end you." He glitches out and takes the resemblance of TCO. Obviously, he is protective of his friends and doesn't want any harm, but Alan doesn't care/notice and deletes his friends anyway. After this, TSC doesn't destroy his computer like TCO and TDL, but instead ruins his social life and his cursor. After Alan gets his cursor back, he finds TSC creating other characters with the Adobe pencil to break the program. He goes to delete them all, but realizes that TSC is a good animator (hmm, wonder why...). He deletes them anyway, and traps TSC. TSC uses Adobe text and talks to Alan:
TSC: "STOP!!!"
Alan: "you talk?"
TSC: "DON'T DELETE ME PLEASE"
Alan: "I'm not gonna delete you. You need to calm down."
TSC: "you need to die"
Alan: "Hey stick figure. You're a really good animator."
TSC: "what?"
Alan: "If you help me animate, I'll let you free, as long as you don't wreck my computer."
TSC: "no"
Alan: "Why not??"
TSC: "you ended my friends"
Alan: "Oh."
*Alan reloads tab, brings back the stick gang*
TSC: "when do we start?"
Then they live a happy life animating and hanging out on the computer for many years to come. Or do they...
*Break time! I've been typing for like, 30 minutes lmao. I need a cookie or something*
Anyways, when Alan made TSC, he was feeling creative and didn't want destruction or torture.
Some other important info: In AvA 5, we see that TDL turns back on TCO and they fight each other, with TDL trying to kill TCO (like with Alan's code). After TDL kills the stick gang with his ViraBands, TSC "comes alive" and his powers are activated. He completely obliterates TDL with super lasers, and he also brings back his friends with some kind of antivirus power (creation).
You guys also mentioned about Hangman. When Alan made him, he was playful and was glad about having friends (even though they were stick figures lol). From what it looks like, Hangman wanted to play and be with others, too. Sadly, he's rejected 😭
How does all of this connect to my theory?
Alan created victim with the desire to torture him for his own enjoyment (More on him in a sec).
He created The Chosen One with the knowledge of the past and wanted control over his stick figures. TCO has lots of power and resents control.
The Dark Lord is created with a passion to destroy TCO, with a bit of lunacy in it. TDL wants to kill TCO (later on) and creates the ViraBots to control the Internet/Outernet.
Unbeknownst to Alan until later, he created The Second Coming while he was in his creative spirit/mood. TSC is later shown to be creative and non-destructive.
With all this in mind, I believe I can predict what might happen in the next AvA 6 episode!
*Honestly I'm too tired to do that though, so tomorrow maybe =P*
