So uhm, Ik that most ppl interpret the color gang as males, but can I headcanon them as other genders? Because.. I just thought it'll fit them more. Please let me know!!
Blue is currently in point (pi/2 , 0), and he can only move on the graph sin x=cos y. He wants to reach the nether wart on (21pi/2 , 0) in the shortest distance possible. How many numbers of cases are there?
The ones everyone's been waiting for.
I was originally building these guys based off AvM (cuz Purple's barely appeared in AvA and the other four don't really show their character traits, apart from Yellow), but King Orange changed everything. I was going for an outfit that looked like some guy's regular work clothes (indicating his past as a happy father) yet had an air of royalty to it, and the result ended up looking like some party costume, but I didn't know how to make it better. So I had to add the cape to make him look better. Also, I couldn't figure out how to make a satisfying replica of the command block or the game icon, so I went for the gold block instead. Hence, the Color Gang figures based off Animation VERSUS.
I don't think it was a bad change; each game character has equipment that really show their talents and set them apart from one another. However, there are some things I wish I could have added. For instance, I couldn't give Blue a bow because the game doesn't have one.
Gonna add The Chosen One, The Dark Lord, Victim, Node, and Conductor when more info about them is revealed!
Ain't my fault; that's what the game calls him
Replaced his sword with a hammer cuz that's what he uses in-game instead. He uses the bird as well.
Martial arts gi cuz close combat. Made him a bit more buff than the others for same reason (and cuz AB said Red is the strongest)
You won't believe it, but TSC has a different face than the rest of them, just like I promised. I changed the nose and cheekbones.
There was a promo image where his "chi" or whatever that is takes the form of a wolf, so I added that (idk if it's really in-game though; I don't think it is)
Blue attack effects
Mechanic outfit cuz tech wizard. Should I have added glasses?
Green attack effects
Tried to go for the rock star vibe cuz electric guitar. Considered giving him a mohawk but nah cuz he's a master of classical music as well.
Outfit a bit more stylish than the others cuz Influencer Arc. Added in the sunglasses cuz I don't think I'll have the opportunity elsewhere.
Sorcerer robes cuz potion master
Wanted a larger bottle but the larger ones are MASSIVE
Purple smoke effects cuz one of his attacks is a smoke bomb
Pink highlights in memory of his mother
Harness to make it look like the elytra are equipment rather than body parts
We don't see the ground in Purple's promo image, so I just gave him netherrack cuz AvM
Will admit, the purple and silver don't mix well together like the original. Maybe it's the pink...
See what I mean?
He inserts the gold block in the staff at his bastion in AvM, so I gave him a black-and-gray stone base.
Wanted a taller crown but this was the best I could find
Please ignore the numbers on the block; the die is a popular substitute for cube-shaped items. I've used it for stuff like the MCU Tesseract and the Bayverse Allspark.
Hope you liked them! Idk if I'm gonna use the same outfits for the AvM versions; my original plan was to dress them all like TSC. I think Green and Purple's suits would work nicely, but not Blue and Yellow. As for Red, idk.
AAAA
IM SO TIRED
But its here aaaaaaaa
It has been a total of 6 months since I last posted a chapter of Roots (the longest gap so far), and 9 months since we got a continuation of the plot (which I apologize profusely for aaa).
AvA 12 and school kinda killed my motivation, but it's been long enough and I finally finished this chapter, which is one I've been looking forward to for a while hehe.
Also I NEEEEED to get into a habit of writing daily. I wrote like two one-shots to psyche myself up for this but I promise there won't me as much of a gap next time. I'm gonna get Roots done by its second (hehe) anniversary.
AAAA i cant believe the full thing is 16k words nowwww

“The Second Coming!”
They shouted their name before they even knew what they were saying, their empty thoughts suddenly flooded with memories. It echoed through the electric air, bouncing against their ears, resonating in their heart with every pounding beat. It escaped their breath and their chest with so much power their throat prickled with dry pain. They could feel it, someone’s hands against their shoulders, the weight planting their feet against the grainy wood flooring. Their eyes flashed open and were hit with a wall of lights and colors, the faces of Chosen and Red and Yellow and Green and Blue appearing before them, stunned, stiff, still.
They were alive.
Second froze in place, everything falling in on them at once. “That… I’m… that’s my…” they stuttered, the air shivering with each sound. They could barely speak. Every thought was so loud in their head, too loud, too uncontrollable to put into words.
They were alive.
They finally managed to speak, eyes drifting upward to the faded red eyes of their predecessor.
“I remember.”
Everything seemed to happen at once.
Chosen’s grip on Second’s shoulders loosened, pulling back as they sucked in their breath. They stared down at Second, the person they barely knew and yet the person who had invaded their thoughts for so long now. And now that person finally understood.
Second stumbled backward, reaching out behind for something to stabilize them. They could barely stand, barely breathe, barely think. They reached the wall, eyes still unmoving, locked ahead of them, staring off to a place miles away. They were still so far apart, even when their friends were a mere few feet ahead of them.
Speaking of which, their friends had now erupted into a flurry of questions.
“What? What do you remember?” Green asked, urgency in his tone.
“I-” Second began, only to be cut off by Red.
“Is it true?”
“What happened?” Came another question from Yellow.
“Hey!” Blue grabbed Yellow by the shoulder and pulled her back gently. “Let them talk.” The rest of the gang stepped back as well.
Second let out another shuddering breath, their legs starting to waver underneath them. Slowly, they slid down the wall, steadying themself against the ground. And then they began.
“You were dying.” Second swallowed, pressing their hands against the floor. They looked up at their friends. At Chosen. “All of you, you were dying. And I was so…” They bit down on their lip, every muscle in their body tensing up and then relaxing. “Destroyed. I was falling apart. I was dying too. And then-”
Second reached up to their face, wiping the sweat off their forehead. They curled their fingers into a fist, their left eye beginning to flicker. “And then I wasn’t.”
Their voice began to rise, stronger now than before. “Something changed. I don’t know how, but… I suddenly felt strong, I was- I was powerful.” They felt the same energy flowing through them right now, lying beneath their skin, prickling across their body. “And… Dark… I was so angry, I couldn’t- He- He killed you, and I-”
Suddenly they couldn’t say any more. Their heart went still. They forced their hand against their chest, gripping the fabric of their t-shirt and trying to breathe.
“That’s… Wow, Second, that’s…” Blue breathed, arms limp, smiling down at their friend.
“That’s amazing!” Red finished for them, throwing his arms up in excitement.
Second shook their head in disbelief, running their fingers through their sweaty hair. They caught sight of the roots and twisted the strands into a messy knot around their fingers, pulling at their scalp. A buzzing began to grow under their skin, a sort of electric feeling creeping up their spine and spreading across their back, down their arms, their bones echoing along with it. It zipped its way down their legs and built inside their head, a ringing that drowned every sound out.
Their friends became muffled before them, their chattering excitement silenced by Second’s own mind. Their vision began to blur as well, a green fog slowly creeping in that covered everything. Second’s breathing quickened as they tried to keep their eyes locked on the one thing they still could see through the haze.
Chosen.
Chosen’s face, blank and yet filled with emotion. Their lips, pursed, and eyebrows, pinched slightly. Chosen’s shoulders, dropped to their sides, letting everything happen around them.
Chosen’s eyes, those faded but burning red eyes, staring right at Second.
And filled with fear.
-It was their fault.-
Something wasn’t right.
Second tightened their grip on their scalp, but the buzzing and the fog refused to cease. It wouldn’t stop. They couldn’t make it stop.
They let go, holding their hand in front of their face, their whole body shaking and buzzing so much that it was hard to breathe now. Something small as dust, so barely noticeable in their clouded vision, yet bright as day, floated about their hand in small waves and glinted off their bracelets.
Bright green sparks.
This wasn’t right, this body, this self. Second turned their hand around in horror, hardly believing it was even part of them. They felt so alien, crowded out of their own head, the sparks getting bigger and the noise getting louder and the fear and the pain growing and growing and—
“Second?”
They jumped at the sound, blinking hard. The ringing and the haze finally subsided to show Green leaning over them, face plastered with dismay. Second stared up at him, frozen, unable to respond. The voices of their other friends began to die down as they noticed Second’s expression.
“Are… are you okay?” Green began to reach a hand down to their shoulder, but-
“Don’t touch me.” Second snapped back suddenly, barely registering the words that had come out of their mouth. Everyone began to flock around the crumpled figure, their body heat grazing Second’s already sweaty body.
Green’s face fell, his eyes widening. “Wh- I wasn’t trying to-” He took another step forward, but Second just flinched again, their breathing shallow.
“I said don’t touch me. You don’t...” Second wiped the sweat from their face and stood up slowly, bracing themself against the wall. “You don’t get it, do you? None of you get it.” It felt like the words were choking them as they came out of their throat, but they didn’t stop. “Dark killed you, and I killed him. He was dangerous, and I killed him. What does that make me?”
“Second, that’s not-” Blue stepped forward slightly.
“Stop.” Second said the word so quietly that they could barely hear it, the green haze starting to spread over their vision once again as their eye began to sting.
“It’s not a bad thing-” Red leaned in closer.
“Stop,” They repeated, the buzzing feeling began to grow again, this time in their fingertips. Sparks began to flutter around them, an acidic, sparkling green.
“You were just trying to-” Yellow reached her hand out.
“STOP! I don’t want to hurt you!!” Second shouted, and the room fell silent. Tears began to gather in their eyes as they looked helplessly ahead at their friends. “Just… just stay back, okay? I don’t want to…hurt…you…” They whispered, their voice cracking. They squeezed their arms against their body and bowed their head, hugging themself until it hurt, trying to make themself as small as possible.
The only sound was Second’s soft breathing.
And then someone spoke.
“Second-”
“I said stay BACK!”
Four words.
Four words that burned.
Four words that rushed from the back of Second’s mind down to their fingertips.
Four words that sent a blast of green light around the room, echoing, crushing everything in its path.
Four words that forced everyone to the ground.
Everyone except Second.
Second stood in the middle of it all, staring horrified at the desolate scene below them. Blue, crouched at Yellow’s side, helping her up while rubbing their own head. Red, sprawled across the floor, his hair all blown back into frizzy tangles. Green, bracing himself against his knee and checking that everyone was ok.
And Chosen, kneeled, one hand planted on the ground, their eyes never having moved from their descendant.
Second couldn’t say anything. They couldn’t move. They couldn’t breathe. All they could do was listen to the voice resounding in their head.
It was their fault.
It was their fault their friends died, their fault they were separated, their fault they were hurt now. It was their fault Dark was dead. It was all their fault.
All the power, all the energy that still remained in them gathered in their chest. The sparks swirled around them and dispersed. They could barely manage to stay standing as their friends began to look up at them, their fearful eyes piercing Second’s heart.
It was all because of them.
“…Second?”
They let out a shuddering, quiet, “I’m sorry.”
And then they moved.
Second spun around, throwing their body against the wall, pressing their hands into it with all their strength until there was a flash of green light and the wall crumbled, sending vibrations through the earth. They didn’t even know how they did it; their emotions just took full control of their body -just like they had back then-. They weren’t themself anymore.
Their breath flashed in and out as the cool night air hit their glistening skin. They stumbled forward, nearly tripping over the concrete rubble they had just created. Second heard their friends calling their name, telling them to stop, but they couldn’t look back. -They wouldn’t.-
The light of the stars glared down at Second, piercing through the black shadow of night. The wind whipped their glowing roots against their skin, flowing back behind them as they left a trail of fluttering green sparks. They could taste their bitter tears, the fear that forced their legs to keep stepping forward, as they bounded off the sharp, cold grass.
Second didn’t know where they were running, they just knew that they had to. They had to get away, had to keep running, because it would protect their friends in the way that they couldn’t protect them before. They didn’t know, didn’t understand why they had these stupid powers, why this had to happen to them. Second was sorry, for everything they had done and everything they couldn’t do. That they would never be able to do.
And so they ran, off into the night, off into the forest where they would be hidden in a blanket of green. They ran away from the world they knew and the world they didn’t. Away from the world they feared and the world they loved.
Away from the whole world.

Before you read this, you must know that I do not have any gender discrimination in my intentions. Also, I don't care whether you believe in binary gender or not; I respect your opinions.
Most AB characters are male (according to this wiki; I'm not sure whether there was an official statement), with the exceptions being Mitsi and Purple's mother. But before I checked the wiki, there were actually a few times when I thought a male (again, according to the wiki) character was female.
For instance, I had considered Blue male for ages, but when he curtsied after the Color Gang watched a video they had made in Green's Influencer Arc, I thought he did that because he was really female, not because he had dressed up like one and was making a joke. Eventually I checked the wiki and figured it out, but he still remains my favorite Color Gang member to this day (because of his Nether wart).
Another time I made this mistake was Ballista. I don't know why exactly; I just thought the mercenaries must have at least one female member because that's how most cartoon teams work. Why him, you may ask? Well, I'm a Voltron fan, and his height reminded me of Pidge for some reason. Plus, his hot temper demonstrated by his attempts to break down the door just fueled the idea. Then I checked the wiki.
It seems that I'm not the only one; I've seen a YouTuber say Purple is a girl, and a YouTube comment say that Green is one. What are your opinions about character gender? Seems like an interesting topic, given that there's no real official statement from AB that I can find.

To be continued
Episode 39: i already know what's gonna happen, blue and red will find a ruined portal. they need a way to light it. they go into a jungle temple, avoid traps, get back to the far lands because the portal is broken, Something will happen with creepers though.
Episode 40: Yellow and TSC are stuck in the end. they defeat the dragon. the egg is corrupted and teleports them to where red and blue are.
Episode 41: King and Purple are in the Aether. King finds Gold. Purple, likely having heard about him, runs away because he thinks King will give him up just because he found Gold. That is so not true. Gold rushes to Purple's side. By the way, Gold is suuuuper glitchy from THE BLACK PLAGUE and accidentally electrocutes King and Purple when he touches them. The three go through the already-visible Aether portal and teleport in at the same time as Yellow, Red, Blue, and TSC.
Episode 42: Green and the Armor Stand meet each other again in some dark, very corrupted plane in the dungeons of some mutant monster who bestowed the Black Plague upon the others. The Armor stand and Green have a quick battle, then the Armor Stand apologizes as they try to find their way out of here. They eventually defeat the Black Plague and return home at the same time as all the others. When everyone is home, they all meet Gold for the first time. Something happens, and then they all befriend the Armor Stands and live happily ever after THE END :)
About three? weeks ago, I had a dream about AvM. Red and Blue (my two favorites of the stick gang) were trapped, alone, in a jungle biome.
Now that episode 38 has come out, doesn't that sound familiar?!
More details from my dream: Red was hurt (unconscious) but not dead. If it was a normal survival world, he would just die and respawn, but this is Hardcore, so he's still alive. Blue meanwhile, is caring for him, being the awesome older brother he is.
I know that Blue found berry bushes, and used those for food. I also know they eventually escaped through a Nether portal (when Red woke up.)
Now that the two are actually together, alone, in a jungle biome, let's see if any more parts of my dream come true!
Merry Christmas, everyone!
Pings!

Hear me out before you lock me in a padded room
In skip the tutorial's newest video (things you can't unsee beyond minecraft's world border) around the 18 minute mark, all characters from avm (red, green, purple, blue, yellow even 'orange') joined the game. (i would post the link but i'll be reported for spam)
Then at the end, there is a link to Alan Becker's channel, and a release date - december 20th.
If you look closely, you can see figures creeping in the background.
