The stickmen were bored with the regular Minecraft world now. They had explored all that was left to find. They collected every item. They built everything they wanted to. Now they were laying on the grass, doing absolutely nothing.
Red had enough of this boredom, so he suggested his friends to challenge themselves. So, they all thought of ideas, and in the end, they agreed on respawning the ender dragon and beating them. So, they gathered their materials, located a stronghold, and jumped into the end portal.
In the end dimension, Purple was crafting a peculiar object. On the crafting table, he put an end crystal in the middle, a box of infinite books below it, and placed diamonds in the remaining slots. This resulted in creating a never-before-seen item called The Rainbow Crystal. He happily hugged the crystal, hoping it would have magical properties.
The stick gang arrived at the end. They took one look at Purple and the crystal and were shocked. The Second Coming told Purple that the crystal looked unstable, so he had better backed away from it. But Purple didn't listen. Red chimed in by telling him to throw the crystal into the void this instant.
Just then, the crystal glowed brighter than before. And before anyone could move 1 nanometer, the crystal shot an obsidian pillar, breaking all the obsidian, even the bedrock above it. Then, the crystal shot lasers at the stick figures. Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue were frantically trying to dodge the lasers. The Second Coming asked Purple why he was shooting them, but Purple yelled that he could not control the crystal anymore. Blocks were glitching, stickmen were panicking, and Purple was holding on for dear life.
The Second Coming decided that the crystal was to be destroyed (yes, this is a grammatically correct sentence). So, he charged at the crystal with an iron pickaxe. Everyone yelled "NO! STOP!" but it was too late. The crystal was in pieces. However, the pieces stayed midair. Everything around The Second Coming glitched, as he himself started to glitch too. Then, it was all black.
The Second Coming was transported to a purple void. He floated in there, unconscious. Debris flew past him. One knocked him, and he went flying. The Second Coming floated until he was sucked into a nether portal. Only this time, the portal was green.
TSC woke up. He was feeling the wind. Lots of wind. However, the wind seemed to go up. He looked down. OH SHI….rt. That wasn’t wind. It was air resistance. TSC was falling and heading straight toward the pavement! (For those of you who don’t know, a pavement is the rock-like material consisting of a road. But you knew that, didn’t you?) TSC held a water bucket from his inventory, readied his timing, and…missed.
Thankfully, TSC did not die. ‘I guess Mojang removed the fall damage for some reason.” he thought to himself. He looked around. Yes, he was still in Minecraft. But there were buildings. Skyscrapers. And the sky was…green. Neon green. He was in a city made from Minecraft blocks. What was going on? Was he in a Minecraft mod?
Then, he remembered. The end dimension. Purple. The rainbow crystal. It wasn’t a normal everyday shining crystal after all. It was a crystal that could (and already did) alter reality itself.
TSC looked around. “Hello?” He called. There was no one in the city. No mobs. No npcs. TSC was alone. Then, he noticed a television screen in a nearby building. The screen was flashing a mesmerising black and white spiral. It was spinning slowly. TSC looked at the screen with open ‘eyes’, and…
yawned and walked away.
TSC sighed and wandered the empty streets. Was he trapped here alone? Then, he saw a gray stick figure up ahead. Finally. “HEEEEEY! OVER HERE!” he yelled. He ran toward the stickman in excitement.
He finally reached the stickman. “Thank goodness you’re here!” said TSC. “I need to get out of this place. Do you happen to know how to…”
However, the grey stick figure was twitching. He walked like a zombie, his head tilted 37 degrees. “Um, you ok?” said TSC. Then, the grey stick figure said something very disturbing. “OBEY VIOLET. INITIATING REBEL EXECUTION.”
The grey stickman punched TSC. TSC punched back. They got into a fist fight. Then, the grey stickman held out a netherite sword. TSC held out his diamond sword, and now they did a sword fight. In the end, TSC knocked the netherite sword onto the ground.
“Now tell me how to go back!” TSC yelled. “OBJECTIVE FAILED. RETURNING TO RENDEZVOUS POINT. ALERTING DENIZENS.” said the grey stick figure. It turned around, and stumbled away.
TSC continued exploring the city. All the buildings had the same spiral coming from the screen. Maybe the grey stick figure was hypnotized by the screen. At this point, even he knew Minecraft didn’t make any sense.
Suddenly, he saw a horde of mobs and grey stick figures charging toward him. They were yelling in unison. “OBEY VIOLET. INITIATING REBEL EXECUTION.” TSC knew he was no match for what seemed to be a crowd. So, he pulled out his special move: he made a run for it.
Hypnotized mobs and stick figures were coming from all sides. Before you could say “Blue should probably stop eating netherwart,” TSC was cornered. “WE HAVE YOU SURROUNDED. SURRENDER AND JOIN US, OR PERISH IN THAT EXACT COORDINATES.” said a hypnotized creeper.
TSC did the only thing he could do. He prepared to fight…to the last one standing (even though he was the only one standing). Just then, the ground opened with the sound of a piston. And TSC fell into it. He had no elytra. He had no ender pearls. The only thing he could do was to keep falling and wait for his demise.
“So, who is this creature?” “It appears to be a stick figure just like us.” “But he has a hole in his face!” “Is it even a ‘he’?” “Pretty sure it's a ‘he’.” “Look! The creature just moved!”
TSC opened his ‘eyes.’ He felt dizzy. He reached out and felt something. It was glass. Then, he realized. He was trapped in 2 glass blocks. “What the…?! LET ME OUT!” he yelled. “It speaks our language!” said a voice. TSC looked up. His heart flew up. Not really though, because if that actually happened he would’ve died of cardiac arrest (scientific word for ‘heart attack’). But he was really excited. He saw his old friends. Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue. Only, their skin color seemed slightly different than before.
“Guys? GUYS!!!” yelled TSC. “I can’t believe you’re here too! We have to get out of here. Have you seen Purple? And why did you stuff me inside 2 glass blocks?” The stick figures looked at each other in confusion. “Um, I believe you have the wrong information.” said the Red-like stickman. "We have never met you, therefore you have never met us." "But..." said TSC. "don't you guys remember me?" The stick figures went silent. "Um, perhaps it is best if we introduce ourselves." said the Red lookalike. "My name is Tangerine." "I'm Lemon." "I'm Leaf." "And I'm Cyan. We are the 4 most smartest scientists in Minecraft history. And we're lucky to find a new mob like you."
TSC sighed. "I'm not a mob. I think I'm from another dimension. You need to help me!" Suddenly, TSC had a weird thought. "So, Cyan. I was wondering if you'd like to...teach me how to eat a steak." Cyan stared at TSC for a second. After a while, he said "Sure. But the steps are pretty hard. First, you take a steak, and add some Kampot pepper. This gives the steak a fruity flavor. Then, I add some Tellicherry pepper, which makes the taste smooth. And lastly, I add my favorite topping, Soul peppers, which is made of shredded netherwarts." TSC's 'eyes' lid up. "I KNEW IT!" he yelled. "What?" said Cyan. "Oh, nothing." said TSC. Then, he turned to Leaf. "Can you play noteblocks?" "Yeah, how'dya know?" said Leaf. "Wanna see me play?" So after the scisntist gang freed TSC, he handed Leaf a noteblock, and he started playing. As soon as Leaf played 3 notes, TSC knew what he was playing. "Aaron Grooves - Jazzy Note Blocks", just what Green always played. (and for those who are wondering, 'Jazzy Note Blocks' is the official song title, played in Animation vs. Minecraft Season 1 Episode 6) And for Lemon, TSC asked him to show him his inventions. "You're seeing 'em right now!" said Lemon. "This lab is filled with inventions. Storage system, item duper, quantum computer, you name it! I have it."
Finally, TSC asked Tangerine if he had a pet, so he introduced TSC to his pet pig, Reben. (not Reuben)
Finally, TSC knew what was going on. "You're...you're different versions of my friends." Leaf was punching his calculator. "My analysis is complete." he said. "You are not from another dimension." "What do you mean?" said TSC. "According to this data, there are a total of 2.1 billion dimensions, with each unique laws of nature. And using Lemon's equations, we have figured out we can make another dimension called 'Dimension Σ' by amalgamating the dimensions omnipresent in the void. We believe your atoms originate from there."
"The...WHAT?!"
"Shorter version: combine all the dimensions and you'll find your home."
"Oh, okay."
"So, how do I merge all 2.1 billion dimensions?" asked TSC. "There is a 96% chance that each dimension has its own 'Color Diamond'." said Cyan. "If you somehow visit dimensions and collect 9 of them, you can craft them into an item called...
"The Rainbow Crystal." said TSC and Cyan in unison.
"If you craft one, it will combine all the dimensions and lead you home. So, you need to find the Color Diamonds. Of course, we have our own. However, it is occupied by Violet, who is using it to dictate the city." "Which leads to our topic." said Lemon. "Violet uses the Color Diamond to hypnotize everyone in this city to do his bidding. We were the only survivors. We need your help to defeat Violet and return the city to its original state." TSC had no other option but to accept their request.
"It seems that you are immune to the hypnosis." said Tangerine. "That was hypnosis?" said TSC. "I thought it was just a boring TV show." "Yes, well, Violet has even more dangerous attacks. Thats why we're gonna need tools. The best ones." "Netherite?" asked TSC. "Oh, no. Violet can cut through netherite without moving a molecule. That's why we're gonna customize your armor."
Tangerine scanned TSC with a strange item, and then inserted the item to the quantum computer. After 3 seconds, a dispenser shooted out what seemed like a shiny rainbow nugget. Tangerine duplicated the nugget in the item duplicator, then coated the netherite armor and netherite sword with the nuggets. Finally, Tangerine made TSC equip the armor and sword. "Lookin fresh!"
"We'll use artificial potions for defense." said Cyan. "And it is today that we made a special helmet that protects us from hypnosis. But remember, your armor and sword has special abilities, and they change with each dimension."
"You guys ready?" said TSC. Tangerine pushed a button, and the exit came out. Tangerine, Lemon, Leaf, Cyan, and TSC all went to save the city and retrieve the Color Diamond.
'But who is Violet?' TSC thought. Then, he realized who Violet was. 'Oh god.'
Notes by Kevin Heo:
1. This story is based on the Minecraft April Fools snapshot, 20w14∞. In the snapshot, you throw a book in a portal and traverse 2.1 billion possible dimensions.
2. The sky being green is a reference to the snapshot where each dimension has its own time, gameplay mechanics, and so on, which includes the sky color.
3. Purple crafting The Rainbow Crystal is a reference to Animation vs. Minecraft Season 1, where he was obssessed with a dragon egg.
4. The entire city being hypnotized is a reference to Minecraft Story Mode Season 1 Episode 7, although it wasn't hypnosis, but mind control.
5. The dimension having different versions of the fighting stick figures contains 2 references. First is Sonic Prime, where Sonic meets other versions of his friends, and the second is quantum physics, which states that atoms can be replaced with every observable state it can be.
6. The season being ∞ has 2 hidden meanings. First, it can be that the main theme for this fanfic is the snapshot 20w14∞. Second, it can also mean that this fanfic series will never be canon because ALAN BECKER NEVER READS MY FRICKIN COMMENTS! *huff* *puff* I'm okay now.
