And amid all the chaos...was a glitching stick figure, murdering civilians left and right.
Bullets, fireballs, lasers...they were all completely useless against him.
He had one goal and one goal only...
ERADICATE THE SECOND COMING.
One Day EarlierOrange froze.
...[in a whisper] Gold?
Gold: Dad?
And they embraced one another for the first time in 15 years.
Neon: I don't want to increase family tension again, so I'm lea-
Orange: No.
Neon: ...
Orange: Stop trying to analyze, analyze, analyze for once and follow your heart. STOP trying to deny yourself basic comforts because it's "inefficient". And stop being such a cold, hard robot and just...just be you.
Before Neon could even say no, everyone was practically dogpiling her with hugs, even Purple.
Neon: [halfhearted attempt at a joke] why did I agree to marry you...
Location of "The Showdown"H4CK3R stood over The Second Coming's lifeless body.
H4CK3R: Hang in there...brother.
He knew that even an entire hospital dedicated to his revival wouldn't be enough, so he called down someone that he thought he'd never be in a situation dire enough to need again.
H4CK3R: God of Light? Could you please take a look at this?
Half a second later, with a flash and a bang, a pure-white stick figure with a glowing, rainbow aura appeared.
The God of Light: H4CK3R...what's going on?
H4CK3R: He...[breaks down and starts sobbing] sacrificed himself to save the Outernet...once again. He saved my life.
The God of Light: The fifth stage of grief is acceptance. Maybe you have to let go.
H4CK3R: No. I won't. He saved my life. WHO AM I to just let him die like that?! Maybe someone who's "normal" would do that...HE IS A GOD. Even if I were unbiased towards him, everyone else isn't. You have to save him. Please!
The God of Light sighed. He placed his hand on The Second Coming's head and started glitching.
The God of Light: I've never done this before, so you might want to step baaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaa-
He was gone.
The Second Coming's MindThe Second Coming stared at the borders of his body, slowly disintegrating.
They seemed to be held back by some unknown force.
The Second Coming [placing a hand on one of his body's borders]: Thank you, H4CK3R.
Before he could do anything else, someone appeared behind him...someone he'd never expected to have seen ever again.
The Second Coming: Light?
The God of Light: Apparently. H4CK3R wanted me to wake you up.
The Second Coming: How?
The God of Light: I...I don't know!

Light: I only did it at H4CK3R's request. Right now, he's doing everything he can to keep you alive. You should be honored.
The Second Coming: Maybe he just needs to let go.
Light: [putting an arm around The Second Coming] If you're certain in that statement...but I'll stay here until I'm 100% sure that no other disasters are going to occur and you won't be needed any longer.

WARNING! WARNING! GLITCH ACTIVITY FOUND IN SECTOR 16!
The Chosen One landed on the ground, where a patch of land was glitching strangely.
He lightly punched it, revealing a...hatch???
Ugh. Agh. AAAAAAARGH!!!
He finally punched the glitching hatch open and jumped inside.
It was as dark as a black hole, so he lit a flame on his hand as a flashlight and walked in.
There were glitches EVERYWHERE.
The Chosen One: How is this possible? Didn't Gold cleanse the Outernet of this glitch in the past???
He walked further down the dank, dark hallway until he came across a massive room with nothing but one throne in it.
Ah. Welcome.
The throne turned around...IT WAS EMPTY.
So...the "demigod" has come here to eradicate me. Good luck with that...muahahahahahahahahahaha!
The glitches started to intensify...until they SPLIT from the wall and converged into a tiny, dense ball.
This will be your only warning. Allow me to complete my objective WITHOUT interference...or everyone you know and love will be glitched out of existence before your very eyes!
The tiny ball morphed into the shape of a glitching stick figure.
You may call me...Oblivion.
Before The Chosen One could even react, Oblivion released a massive energy beam that blew The Chosen One out of the bunker.
The Chosen One: [contacting H4CK3R] We have a...little problem.
Location of The ShowdownH4CK3R: I'm a little BUSY right now! [hangs up]
H4CK3R: Hang in there....
The Second Coming's MindThe Second Coming and Light sensed it at the same time.
Light: We've gotta get you out of here and back into your body. NOW.
Light ran a scan of The Second Coming's body.
Light: Your body seems mostly fine, only exhausted. [runs body diagnosis] I say "mostly" because your brainstem's been severed from your body, so you won't be able to wake up on your own. I only hope that we'll have enough time to fix it before he arrives.
Outernet CityThe Chosen One was hovering near the glitching spot.
To his horror, the glitches seemed to be expanding!
A massive shockwave blew out from the glitches, blinding everyone. When The Chosen One's vision finally cleared, he saw a ruin...just like Newgrounds.
The Chosen One: No...

And amid all the chaos, Oblivion walked out, killing anyone who moved.
Several police officers started shooting at him, alongside The Chosen One, but they were all completely ineffective.
He had one goal and one goal only...
ERADICATE THE SECOND COMING.
The Tangos' HouseNeon felt the explosion before everyone else.
Orange: What's wrong?
Neon: Something else. Something...worse. I have to go. I endanger you all if I stay.
She flew off, going to assist The Chosen One in combat.
Location of The ShowdownNeon desperately called H4CK3R.
H4CK3R: I'M BUSY-
Neon: We have an incredibly significant issue. You have to wake up The Second Coming. NOW.
H4CK3R contacted Light.
H4CK3R: WAKE HIM UP! NOW!!!
The Second Coming's MindLight: If we implant energy into your brainstem together, we should be able to repair it within an hour.
Then he got the call from H4CK3R.
Light: Crap. We don't HAVE an hour.
Outernet CityAgent rescued as many civilians as he could while Neon and The Chosen One held off Oblivion alongside a group of police officers shooting at him.
Oblivion just laughed.
Oblivion: Did you really think that you could beat me???
He released a massive wave of glitches that knocked them all off their feet.
He planted a foot on The Chosen One, ready to kill him...then Neon tackled him from behind before blasting him with a massive jet of fire. Before Oblivion could fight back, The Chosen One flew behind him and released his massive energy beam, blowing Oblivion outwards, away from the city.
Before either of them could continue, Oblivion released a massive glitching explosion that would destroy them if they tried to get too close.
Oblivion immediately flew away, towards The Second Coming.
Even though Neon and The Chosen One followed, they were nowhere close to being as fast as he was, and he was out of sight within seconds.
Location of The ShowdownH4CK3R got a frantic distress call from The Chosen One.
H4CK3R knew that he had to buy The Second Coming some more time, so he got out every single weapon he had in his arsenal, and pointed them all at Oblivion.
The moment Oblivion landed, he was blitzed with bullets, bombs, missiles, explosives, sharp objects, shurikens, and everything else that H4CK3R could think of.
After several minutes of pushing through, Oblivion was close enough to release his glitch-powers on the defenses, destroying them.
H4CK3R generated a massive sword and a group of shurikens, before uttering a battle cry and charging at Oblivion.
H4CK3R: RaAAAAAAH!
The Second Coming's MindLight was still pumping energy into The Second Coming's brainstem. Slowly but surely, it was regenerating.
Light: H4CK3R, we're at 94.5% integrity. The Second Coming will be ready to help soon. I only need five...more...minutes...
H4CK3R: YOU HAVE TO HURRY!!! HE'S HE-[static]
Location of The ShowdownOblivion generated a glitch-lasso and smashed H4CK3R into the wall, then punched him so hard that he was knocked into a coma.
The Second Coming's MindLight: Come on...only three more minutes...
Location of The ShowdownThe Chosen One and Neon finally arrived, bathing Oblivion in lasers.
The Second Coming's MindLight: Two...
Location of The ShowdownOblivion stabbed The Chosen One with a glitching sword, before letting him drop to the ground. The Chosen One started glitching. Not to the point of being brainwashed, but it hurt nonetheless - and the pain was far worse than when he'd been hit by glitch-bomb fire in "Wanted".
The Second Coming's MindLight: One...
Location of The ShowdownNeon desperately threw fireballs at Oblivion, but none of them did anything to him. He grabbed Neon by the neck and THREW her a hundred miles away...all the way to Broken Mirror's former hideout.
The Second Coming's MindLight: Five seconds.
Oblivion walked closer.
Light: Four.
Oblivion slammed the door open and entered the room that The Second Coming was in.
Light: Three.
Oblivion smashed the glass pane around The Second Coming's unconscious body.
Light: Two.
Oblivion grabbed The Second Coming by the neck.
Light: One.
Oblivion released a massive amount of glitch energy from his body, ready to destroy the last hope that the Outernet had of recovering once and for all...
Light: Zero.
The hospital exploded.
The Second Coming was up...and ready for a vengeance.
And not just him...now that his job was complete, The God of Light had separated from The Second Coming's body, ready to destroy Oblivion...together.
The Second Coming: You ready?
Light: Let's finish this.
And the battle commenced.
