Grief and anger are powerful emotions that can blind a person. This made the king focus on only one thing: destroying minecraft. It made him blind to many things, primarily the people and creatures he was stepping on just to achieve his goal. It made him blind to settling it through any peaceful means, such as politely asking Alan's stick figures for help instead of forcefully taking the master block from them
Or maybe he really just didn't find anything, which frustrated him even more :/
